I mean, what did you expect... they announced their big stuff yesterday.

This could have been an email

3D Mario, Smash or a true Mario Kart World expansion

At least one of those 3

My oldest loves the Kirby games, so I guess that's something. Could have saved me a lot of time by just showing that trailer at the end of yesterday's announcement.

They did also announce a new side-scrolling Metroid game, but I've never gotten into that series.

New 2D Metroid coming next year. That's not nothing.

Treehouse coming up.

They did announce a free update, but I realize that's not what you mean.

...they're playing Wii Sports resort...

I'm going to mute this until they hopefully pull up something else.

Nintendo would have been better off only doing the Zelda direct yesterday and leaving today alone.

I don't really play Mario Kart anymore but the classic course announcement was cool.

I had high hopes for Mario Kart World. It did not feel like a complete game at release.

Only thing interesting for me is Tomb Raider and I will play that on the Series X.

Now they're playing the new Fire Emblem game. I like these sorts of games. Might pick this one up.

My guess is winter announcement for next winter release.

They want Zelda in the spotlight right now before the movie.

This was a good direct, not stunning, but a lot of solid announcements. The 2D Metroid looks great. The Wii Sports Resort one looks like another big family hit. Persona, Kingdom Come, etc. All solid.

I was not expecting a big Nintendo announcement to take away from OoT right now

The 2D Metroid looks interesting.

Kind of an odd name, the presentation was heavily action based, not srue if htat was just for marketing or if the game is more action focused. The UI was also kinda unusual for a 2D metroid game. It may not be the traditional exploration sorta based template.

Looks a lot like Dread to me, which was an amazing game. I’m assuming it’s the same developers. A lot of similar movement and combat in the gameplay trailer that you had in Dread so I would be surprised if exploration wasn’t similar

Yes it's MercurySteam doing it which s good because I thought Dread was great, and actually very challenging for a Metroid game.
