Were there any legitimate surprises? It seems like all was essentially expected or didn’t move the needle. It seems odd they would go into the holiday season with no major title but I assume a major release for this year would have been announced far before now.
Also, I’m kind of astounded they didn’t announce anything for Mario Kart World, a game that seemed pretty barebones at the start remains mostly untouched except for relatively minor changes.
I’m moderately excited for OOT I guess

KH4 was a legit surprise. The fact Nintendo got the trailer is crazy.

Yeah very underwhelming. Nintendo is lazy as hell this go round so far. I have 3 kids in prime switch age and they’re kinda underwhelmed that they saved up to buy the thing at launch

They didn't give a date for OoT so they could be leaning on it for the holidays, and it'll definitely move some hardware for them

Agreed. I don’t get all the hate. Especially with the OOT confirmation. Also this HD2D FF is the first turn based one since X? That’s a pretty big deal in itself.
If JRPGs aren’t your cup of tea I can see where some of it comes from

they announce oot for this year, but don't give a date....
they are depending on it for the holiday, but can't commit to it. 80% chance of missing the year is my guess.
