do you think XBOHs (Xbox One Haters) actually realize what they are saying, when they complain about the One's 'invasiveness'?
Or, are just repeating what their favorite fanboi blog/poster/meme .gif said ?

I guess we can start arguing about which source is better, but my last piece of evidence would be:
Total WW as of Dec 31st 2008 :
LINK
Total WW as of March 2010:
LINK
So they are both at ~77.4 million now, that can only mean that one has been outselling the other on average per year.
Total WW as of Dec 31st 2008 :

Xbox 360 - 28.5 million*
PlayStation 3 - 21.3 million

Xbox 360 - 40.3 Million Units
PlayStation 3 - 35.95 Million Units

Isn't your smart phone technically "always connected"? And it has a camera on either side. And a speaker. And a mic. And personal data. What's the difference?

Lets be real here. The haters are on the same level as the knights. If Sony had all this negative press surrounding them you and everyone else would be giving this board the business. Xbox is getting clowned right now so the Xbox loyalists are in damage control mode for some reason. At the end of the day it's a game console (well, one is) and someone's opinion of my choice in console will not sway me one way or the other.

I don't need the Internet to make a call.
If the network is down I can still take pictures.

If I wanted to I could keep Googling and contradict your numbers too using some obscure site like you just did but I won't. It doesn't matter what I post from a good source you will find some random blog that supports what you are saying and post it.

That post was in response specifically to the "invasive" part. Not about being able to play games if you aren't connected.

Like I said last night, people here piled on Sony for a few days and that was it but that hasn't been the case for the other side.
Sony has its bad press coming anyway. They said very little and have released even less. Sadly the flaming that was done the past few weeks has set a bad precedent so it's going to really blow here for a while.
I think Xbox took the removing band-aid effect and ripped it off so people could get over it and move on. Sony is taking the let's release info a little at a time approach I think. Not sure how that will work out if true but we will see.

I know exactly what's going to happen too:
24 hours before the first big release some construction worker is going to cut the wrong line and my Internet will be down for a week so i can't play. Thanks Microsoft.

dude, i havent turned on my xbox in months and have been jimping over a ps3 exclusive for weeks
really? cmon now.
ive avoided these flamefests because ive been waiting for facts. Now that i have facts and formed my own opinion, im reviewing the opinions of others and it makes me wonder if some of you all were born yesterday.
The same people (not anyone here, hypotheticals) complaining about the XBO probably have 1000 pictures of their kids and family on facebook, their banking info saved in cookies, personal info saved in their email accounts, a LinkedIn account, and agreed to GPS on their phone, all while using a network provided by a Telecomm giant.

Looks like i'll keep my Xbox slim until it ever goes out. Then switch back to Playstation.

Ahh, the passive aggressive, I don't care anymore response...that happened a lot quicker than I expected.

Says the guy who just posted Wikipedia and a Geekwire blog.
VGChartz is the most reputable console numbers site. No blogs, just numbers.
Here is that link again.

I was told on here by one of your fellow Sony fanboys that VGchartz is a laughing stock during the PS4 reveal.

So VGChartz is all estimates?

Gamasutra's Simon Carless peeks into the VGChartz methodology and the validity of its weekly published video game sales estimates. In short, his findings point to some noticeably large variations between VGC's guesstimates and more trusted outlets like NPD, to which many publishers subscribe.
So VGChartz is all estimates?
