I've seen you post this before and it just isn't true. The PS3 has outsold the 360 worldwide despite a terrible launch that happened a year after the 360s launch.
quote:
PlayStation 3 (IDC January 2013 estimate: "about 77 million")
Xbox 360 77.2 million[158](as of March 31, 2013)
Latest numbers actually show both consoles sitting at 77.4 million units sold.

Playstation was much further ahead 3 years ago before the Kinect. When Xbox dropped their price, introduced the slim, and packaged it all with a Kinect they started flying off the shelves. Xbox has dominated most months since then over both the PS3 and Wii.

Along with being the best selling game console for 25 months in a row, Microsoft says Xbox 360 also earned the most of any console in January with users spending US$338 million on the system between hardware, accessories, and software.

Am I still wrong?

Have to connect every 24 hours?
Well I know which console I will not be putting in my doomsday bunker.

I don't like what Microsoft is doing but it doesn't impact me any. Other than the used games market. Which is probably where I'm out anyway. If I can't buy a used game, I have little use for it.

PS3 was behind in WW sales 3 years ago (by quite a bit actually):

Not only that, according to VGChartz:

The PS3 has been outselling the 360 yearly since 2009 world wide.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is US only.

Surprising almost no one, Microsoft announced its Xbox 360 was once again the No. 1 console in the U.S. for the month of February.
That takes Microsoft's continuing streak of sales domination to 26 straight months of championing the top slot against competitors Sony and Nintendo.

It's funny cuz everyone on this board connects online when ever their console is turned on anyways. That is the sad part. Sorry Xbox one won't be a major hit in Africa. Wtf is Microsoft thinking!!

hilarious. that thread goes 2-3 pages on the OT. no one blinks.
this thread is full of 12 pages of straight fanboi rage
ability to play single player RPGs without internet > personal privacy and protection of digital communications and intelligence
wonder how many Xbox One haters trade in their smartphones ? Clearly privacy and ability to be offline is what matters most to them. frick actual entertainment ability.

Well someone has some wrong info then

Xbox 360 tops Wii and PS3 for 1st time in yearly global sales

Here’s the bigger news: The Xbox 360's strong holiday quarter also put the Microsoft console ahead in worldwide sales globally for the full year of 2011, with 14.9 million units sold, compared with 14.1 million for the PS3 and 10.33 million for the Wii.

well, when you sign up to use a carriers network, you explicitliy agree that everyting you do on said network is not "yours", and it's the property of the carrier, and they can do whatever the frick they want with it
so, yes, it is sharing information. you agree to it when you sign up.

Yea Kinect is invasive yet your smartphone is a GPS that tells all of your friends and the NSA where you are 24/7. It also allows for every bit of your communication to be monitored and stored in records.
