How did MSFT rebound from Vista or the Xbox One fiasco?

Good. CoD is shite right now, but MW and Warzone are still hot commodities and perhaps Microsoft will straighten out this terrible CoD cycle.

What’s the sentiment of the lead CoD devs these days?

Infinity Ward good, Sledgehammer okay, Treyarch not so good?

Dang. That’s stupid. I know it was almost 10 years ago but did they fix those issues with the console or try to rectify it?

Xbox One launch/marketing was legendary bad. Mandatory Kinect, only online, $500, etc.

I like Microsoft, used to love Blizzard, we will have to see - a lot of the people, probably most, who made Blizzard special are no longer there

Doubtful but wonder if this move could convince Jeff Kaplan to come back.

Right now its hard to say and there are other development teams working along with these 3. Since Sledgehammer(and Ravensoft) blew it on CoD 2020 with Treyarch having to step up to release rush out Black Ops 5 and released the underwhelming Vanguard I would put them at the bottom. IW and Treyarch both are still putting out fun CoD games when given time to develop.

I don’t see how it could get any worse. It’s been a long time since the glory days of the Diablo/Starcraft/Warcraft/WoW battle chests. I enjoyed D3 but it did step on its dick quite a bit.

Haven’t been into CoD since 8th grade so can’t really comment there.

The only thing that would piss me off a little is D4 not coming to PS5, but they’ve admitted it’s nowhere close to ready so even most of us PS fanboys will have picked up a cheap SeriesX by then.

Or just use GamePass on PC.

True. Using a controller is what’s great - console Diablo was such a godsend for my right index finger.

So now instead of taking forever to release titles, Blizzard will release them with a shite ton of bugs.

To be fair, Xbox One and Vista were more due to boneheaded design decisions than a lack of talent.

Blizzard just doesn't have the talent they once did. They seem content on driving what games they previously developed into the ground, and I am not sure how capable they are of making really good games anymore.

Guess how I know you haven't played any of the new Blizzard releases.
