You don't want them to coexist in a fair environment?
I love options and my money votes how I'd rather devs develop and produce games.
Steam is about having features for the gamer outside of the game but costs more to the dev.
Epic is about less features and more to the dev.
I honestly don't think it will happen soon but giving more money to the dev will make it easier to fund games and not rely on micro transactions and crappy dlc paywalls.
I honestly don't care about outside options for the games as the game is what matters to me.
Didn't mean to derail the thread but it seems it was going that way with other posters....
To tie this all into the OP, console gaming was always like that and you paid for the environment and ecosystem. The only issue is that you are locked into that ecosystem. With PC gaming, it's the same except one major difference, you aren't locked into the a system as the different launchers are in the same system (the PC).
I'm pro all launchers as they give their own unique experience. I just think steam is robbing the devs and epic is showing that.
I can't wait till complete cross play is enabled and the features of the console are what brings into the customers and not the old argument of "whatever console your friends have."
I'm still cool right now and will continue to be.

Again, game pricing stopped adjusting for inflation, so they need to make their money somewhere. If I like a developer, I'd prefer they make money and be able to keep making goods games. If that means I have to use another launcher, whatever.

Don’t worry. I wasn’t serious. We’re cool.

Plus I became tired of listing the issues months ago.
I must have missed it. What’s the problem with the Epic store?
I’m digging the free games (yep, free and no subscriptions required!) and some of their exclusive titles (Hades for instance)!

Specifically the agreement says that the two will jointly develop future cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure. It also says that Sony will use Microsoft Azure for its own game and content-streaming services
Sometimes I get tired always being right
Sony had no answer for Azure and real cloud gaming. Sony bent the knee.
Microsoft has now partnered with Nintendo and Sony. Soon our options will only be Taco Bell and Xbox.

Don't make me go dig up the Xbone vs PS4 threads.

Average price/game has never been higher (LINK). With expensive extra editions where you don't get the full game without spending $90+, not to mention all the DLC/season passes (because there's more than one these days) that is required to play the game as they design.
I don't feel too bad about games only being $60, because they're charging way more for the full game.

Does this mean next gen PSN will have competent download speeds?

It should. Only AWS can possibly top Azure for cloud right now and that would be in the USA only.
Google has the money, but they are behind Amazon and Microsoft in global infrastructure.
With Google lurking out there, the Sony/Microsoft thing is brilliant.
