Who else is buying?
Wish it was Metroid Prime 4... while I love Super Metroid, Metroid Prime is my favorite game of all time. But Metroid is Metroid, and hopefully this scratches the Metroid itch many of us have had for years now.
I could not imagine using a guide or walkthrough to play a Metroid game. The whole appeal is getting lost and having to figure things out yourself

Preordered it and Amazon didn't ship it until 2pm today, launch day. Meanwhile Best Buy has it in stock... 
Just got on the chat and made them cancel and refund my Prime membership. I'm more than halfway through the year and they actually refunded the whole amount.

This game is not easy and I find myself getting lost way too often.

Think when I'm done putting around with Far Cry 6 I'll pick this up.
Still bitter about how the new Prime game has played out, but Super Metroid is an all time game for me and I loved all the GBA side scrollers. I can get back into it.

I think I locked myself in an area.
The only thing that is annoying me at the moment is that the game is designed as a somewhat “open world”, but it purposefully locks you out of backtracking.
I also think I went to far in the second area and I actually cannot go back or progress.
Found it. Only way to progress was a hidden breakable wall.

I've had that 'oh no I'm stuck forever' moment twice already, thankfully not while I was actively being chased to death.
I keep having to remind myself that it's been like 25 years since I played a proper Metroid game.

That's Metroid for you
The whole idea is to get lost and think outside the box on where to go next
Could not imagine using a guide or walk-through for this game... defeats the whole purpose. Figuring out puzzles and hidden pathways on your own is what makes the game rewarding

Game is really getting good. I’ve taken out 4 of the EMMI robots so far.
Unlocked a bunch of upgrades.

Some of the bosses are tough and the map can be relatively confusing at times.
Really enjoying it though.

Got the Varia suit and found Kraid. Not sure if I was supposed to fight him tho as I was getting my arse kicked. I've only beaten 3/8 of the EMMIs

I’ve completed it. This game has a lot of sequence breaks and things to do that can bust the game open.
You’re never really soft locked because you can always get out of a situation. Either way, it’s probably the hardest Metroid. The 3rd to last and last boss will make you rage.

The freaking blue “electric” EMMI is making me want to rage quit.
I can’t even figure out how to get started on his section.
On the earlier ones, you could escape for a second and they would go search another area. Not this one.
It stays right next to you and you can’t move without alerting it.

I get through one tough spot only to end up in an even tougher spot.
Finally make it passed the blue EMMI and then run into a flying electric big boss who proceeds to wreck my shite 5 or 6 times.
Now I have to go back through the blue EMMI area.
This is a good game.
