Yeah, Anderson has some limp legs.
I know he is supposed to be your freind, but he seems like huge douche to me. Shepard bust his arse for him and he acts like he did Shep a favor.
He acted like a prick in the ME3 demo to with the.
"The shite you did" & "You owe me more than one"
When you first talk to the council in ME2 and they offer to reinstate you back into the Spectres, I told them to shove it up their arse (and I believe that was Sheperd's direct quote). The council replied by revoking his spectre class and saying Sheperd will no longer have their support & he better not do anythng crazy or they'll come after him. After that interaction, Anderson tells Sheperd to do what he needs to do with Cerberus and he'll find some way to keep the council off of Sheperd's back. Apparently it works because you dont hear from the council again while you go around building your team with Cerberus.
So, in that sense, the quote from Anderson about owing him fits because he could be refering to that.

Good point and he is the hard arse type.
Anyway, I let the council die in ME1 and recommended Anderson for the seat.
One thing that sounded odd in the Demo was when Anderson mentioned the absence of Hackett. I felt like he set Shep up with a no win situation in the ME2 Arrival DLC.

Well, in Hacketts defense you were there to rescue the doctor. Shepard kind of decided to blow up the relay on his own

Yes, the doctor who was trying to escort the reapers in, so he really had no choice.
I just got a feeling Hackett may be indoctrinated and working with the Illusive man in ME3.

No way man, Hackett knights hard for Shepard when he is with Cereberus. Its all in the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC

No doubt he wouldn't of his own free will, but he would, if he got indoctrinated like the doctor was.
Anyway, just thought the mention of him in the demo was a bit odd.

I guess you are right, the indoctrination thing seems like a poor plot device. We will see soon enough though!

I took the reason Hackett wasn't there was to signal that the Reapers had destroyed Earth's defenses. But I don't know. As long as Bioware doesn't kill Miranda I'm good.

I think the fleet that was orbiting earth was only one of the few that humans had. If I remember correctly the fleet that attacked Sovereign was 5th fleet, so there has got to be more. It makes sense to me that Hackett would have gotten the hell out of dodge since he knew the Reapers would be on the move.

After playing the demo, here are my thoughts.
-I hope player model faces get better in the final release. They looked pretty awful.
-Animations/environment interactions were very clunky
-Story looks like it is going to be fricking epic
-One of my fears has been realized. No party member customization. They all have pre-defined roles that you can't alter in the slightest. No equipment choices, no leveling paths.
I am cautiously optimistic. I am leaning towards this game being a huge disappointment. . .but I had better be wrong.
DA2 is still fresh in the minds of many gamers. A big disappointment on so awaited a title could mean curtains for BioWare.
BioWare could end up being the M. Knight of the gaming industry. . .or the Christopher Nolan.

I will admit, I nit-picked some stuff in the demo as well. Some people are saying stuff was cut-out to meet the 2GB demo limit, but honestly this is stuff like graphics and animations which shouldn't be cut out of a demo. This is the same song and dance that was done after the DA2 demo came out and was fricking terrible.

I hope to the gaming gods that I am wrong

BioWare said they were using the same engine as ME2, but it didn't feel like it in the demo. ME2 was so smooth and the ME3 demo was a little clumsy.
I still found it fun and I enjoyed the new multiplayer addition.
I'm hoping the demo was cut back and the final product will be smoother.

I am not making this up:
quote:
EA is sending early copies of Mass Effect 3 into space.
Weather balloons carrying early copies of the game are set to launch from New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris. The games will be equipped with a GPS tracking device, allowing fans to track their progress. When the balloons land, anyone who finds one will be able to snag a copy of Mass Effect 3 a week or more ahead of its release.

There is going to be a massive nerd fight when those things start landing. I don't think they thought this one through.

Early access to mass effect 3 fo' free?
There will be blood.
There will be blood.

Once a balloon touches down, gamers will race over to the landing spot and grab the free copy. Or some dairy farmer will find it out in a field and throws it away. Or it will land in the ocean. Or the balloon will climb too high, disintegrate, and the the plummeting box will leave a rectangular dent in someone's car.

. Best of luck to everyone who will be driving around West Bumblefrick next week trying to find these balloons.
I LOL'd

I nerdgasm'd all over the demo. It looked super fricking sweet on my new 1080p monitor with the graphics cranked to max. Tonight I'm gonna try out the multiplayer.. dear sweet baby jesus..

Some dude wearing a Mass Effect jacket is going to show up with a gun and take that copy of the game - book it. People are desperate.
