Loved Mario 64 and sunshine. hated galaxy 1/2.

mostly, yeah, it's defintely worth it. some of the "collecting" objectives are tedious and get old after a while.

Personally I prefer games like Mario 64 where there are less collectibles per world. Quality over quantity I guess.
But Mario Odyssey has some great level design. It's one of the most pure fun and non-frustrating games I've played in years.

To beat Bowser is probably 30 hours. To complete every world is probably 150 hours.

For me, it's the races. They make me want to murder.
The game overall, though, is fantastic.
OP, if you loved Super Mario 64, you'll love Odyssey. They're very similar in how the levels are built and the general gameplay, with Odyssey having a much larger variety of mechanics built in. Doing it through Cappy's interaction with the environment is just fun.
