Bought the new Bergson for under $20 bucks on a whim after a decade.

Man, what a steal. You can't go home again, but you can definitely go back to Skyrim.

The game is still beautiful, incredibly fun. Just an amazing experience. If you've never played it or it's been a while, definitely worth it.

One day I’ll run it and will fight every urge to become a stealth archer for the 100th time.

I'm pretty terrible at most video games but the best build on Skyrim i had was a spellsword type build with a Breton. Could wreck shop.

Damn, I was on such a good run of not playing Skyrim. I've played it on and off for 13 years now. Reading this I know I'm going to fall right back in.

My most fun run so far has been a modded one (duh) with a multiple followers mod. Made my own little battle party and ran through everything that way. I was a sword and board leader with a mage, orc barbarian, archer, and vampire in tow.

Played 400 hours and I don't think I ever got beyond the 2nd or 3rd main quest.

Right? I'm out having pho right now and thinking "Man, I could be at home playing Skyrim right now."

I’ll pick it up again at some point, but it’s really only good as a sandbox. The writing of the quests is awful, from main quest to side quests to guild quests. Just bland.

Man Skyrim in 2012 holds a special place in my heart. Year out of college before work… would play hours into the morning. That and Witcher 3 are probably my favorite games outside childhood.

Is it true Oblivion might be getting a remaster? I never played it

The crew behind Skyblivion claim to be releasing this year; I’ll believe it when I see it

Also, Oblivion with a few quality of life mods is one of the best gaming experiences in history, in my opinion.

Excuse my ignorance but are these mods available on PlayStation. I know Skyrim mods were severely lacking compared to PC

I doubt it, unfortunately. Console modding is a fairly recent thing.

With that said, even without mods, Oblivion is an incredible game. Some of the internal systems are just a bit arcane and dated.

My nostalgia for Skyrim is both for the game and the time I first played it. A buddy of mine and I would often use Xbox live to talk while each of us played our characters and shared what we found. Don’t know if I’ll ever have a gaming experience like that again.

I basically 100% the game like 8 years ago and Alduin was literally the last thing I did, and I killed him in like two hits ha. Double chaos swords with just disgusting damage (potions and enchanting ftw).

Ok, so I generally don’t pay much attention to downvotes, but I feel sorry for whichever weird motherfricker goes through threads like this to just downvote every post

I just checked this thread out and was noticing that. Extremely confusing.

Same. I didn't even say anything negative. Just that I spent so much time exploring, I never got around to the main quest after 400 hours. lol.

Most replayable game of all time. For me, quite possibly the GOAT game.
