The same issues with Madden are in FIFA. FUT is the only thing that gets updated but career mode (franchise mode) never gets fixed. One of the notorious bugs this year was that a player would be suspended and then you would get in trouble by the board by not playing him. It's sad because these games were decent and now the server response has gotten even worse when playing online.

i quit buying in 2016 i believe. same bullshite every year, "pros" find a handful of plays that are broken and wreck everybody, nothing you can do to stop them. when a "pro" wins the madden championship with a punter as his qb and running the ball every single play you have a problem
ill admit i was drunk and bored a few weeks ago and downloaded 2020 for $20. i got wrecked like 6 games in a row

The fact that they wont add content to franchise mode blows my mind. Its the same shite every year. It even got worse last yr removing the faces from owners and support staff. They let u hire generic head coaches (3 fricking choices) scouts and trainers.
Has anyone in that shite company every said “Hey, maybe we should make franchise mode like NCAA football and add offensive and defensive coordinators”? To start out as a coordinator and work your way up?

Blame teens and urbanites. They love that MUT crap and are the most vocal group on social media. They were the problem with NCAA too. Always wanted more customization on uniforms and accessories and would only play with the top 2-3 teams.
I’m getting it, because I always get at least one sports game a year but I don’t care for hockey, the nba is for commies and I don’t have the time to commit to The Show (best sports game on the market fwiw).
I know what I’m getting with Madden. It’s a mediocre MCU movie in sports game form. I don’t do social media and even if I did, I don’t tweet every 5 minutes so EA won’t care about my complaints.
And for the people saying they are buying it on next gen, you might as well buy it current gen because they are going to let you trade it in for the next gen edition free of charge.

Yea I just don’t get the fascination with having random players from every team on one. Playing in uniforms that aren’t that actual teams along with playing in a stadium that’s not it either.
I miss having a deep franchise mode that you could get lost in. Don’t see that ever happening again.

Graphics are obviously primitive and playbooks are smaller but the gameplay is better.

I could understand if you were creating fantasy rosters based on common locations (where the player went to college, what state they graduated high school from), but the rest is just stupid.
I will say that The Yard looks like a fun change of pace and last year’s face of the franchise narrative was fun even if it was very brief. Granted the dialogue on it is all very cliche, very cheesy, and very dumbed down, but I understand why.

I wish they would go back to the old xp upgrades in franchise where you could actually choose the specific upgrade instead of picking a general category and hoping it upgrades what you want.

I used to buy madden every year. It’s gotten so bad I just can’t justify spending money on it anymore. I haven’t bought the last two titles and won’t buy this year

Yes, absolutely yes. I don’t mind having the new way as an option, but my Face of the Franchise is fully leveled up on 3 of the 4 archetypes and I have 20 skill points still available and can’t do shite else to improve him.
The trade logic is the biggest thing that needs improvement. I traded Antonio Brown on an expiring one year deal for the number one overall pick, but had to trade Andrew Luck on a 3 year contract for a late second and third round pick. I mean what???

The last nfl 2k was the best football game ever. I was a beast online in that game using Carolina, that was back when they had 2 good rb’s. Pretty sure I was top 10 online and didn’t do bullshite like going for it on 4th every time and all the other trash people do.

MUT is fun especially squad with buddies. The problem with MUT (and Madden because so much of their budget goes to MUT) is that it is designed to be anti consumer. Try keeping up with the God Squads or Quasi God Squads from launch to December/playoffs. Just when the team is caught up, another set of cards come out that are faster/better than the current meta cards. Cycle repeats weekly.
I had a blast this last year from launch to playoffs but I was so drained by the end of it. I love(d) Madden. Ran a full 32 user Sim league with a few members on this board in Madden 17. Did it again with M18. Took a break from M19. Tackled M20 with some buddies. I really doubt Franchise ever goes back to being the focal point or even getting an appropriate amount of resources.

I won't buy it but I'll use the 10 hour EA Access trial to check out the Raiders in Las Vegas and the new stadium, 10 hours is about all you need with it.

If that’s suppose to be some big gotcha, it’s a shitty one. No one watches more than 10 maybe 15 seconds of those anyways. Same goes for The Show and 2K.
