Been 18 months since my first play through. Decided to start from scratch instead of the DLC. What tips do you have for someone playing through again? I bumped up one difficulty (next to hardest) for one. When I reach the end, which DLC is the better one to start with?

Both DLCs are masterpieces but the second one is the better one. Still i would do them in order.

Story in the first DLC and music was much better imo. Both are great though.

Play on Death March. It’s brutal at times, but it’s extremely rewarding because it damn near forces you to use all of the games mechanics like crafting oils and stuff like that. Without a doubt, start investing skill points in Quen. It’s a life-savor in every situation. Other than that I would say to go explore and knock out every side quest that pertains to the level you’re at. Read books to learn enemy weaknesses and have them for reference in the bestiary.

Are you doing a NG+ or just a complete new game?

I started all the way over

You want to do the DLC in order simply because the first has quests that are much lower level than the second DLC. If you do the first DLC after the 2nd you'll get pretty much no experience for doing it.

FCR3 - Immersion and Gameplay Tweaks by Andrzej Kwiatkowski INTRODUCTION Hey, I'm a senior gameplay designer and I worked on The Witcher3 and both expansion packs. This mod used to be a personal set of tweaks and fixes meant to spice up my first The Witcher 3 playthrough after releasing the game. Being in creation for more than half a year and enjoyed during >300h playthrough I thought that I might share it with witcher community. Mod doesn't aim for any deep and intrusive changes, instead it is meant to maintain original feeling of the game, sometimes going closer to original intention behind the designs. It focuses mainly on fixing immersion breakers, buffing underperforming skills and items, cosmetic changes and bugfixing. It also fixes few instances of items and abilities that made Geralt (nearly) immortal and removed all the challenge from the game.

Try making dramatically different choices in missions where you have to choose stuff.
There are like dozens of endings/sub endings depending on your choices.

I’m finding myself doing basically the same skill tree as before. Light attack focus, light armor skills, quen and axii. Got the “best” ending the first time. I just can’t bring myself to be the bad guy.

I hate DLC and loved both. Play them in order as pretty much everyone has stated.

Just started my NG play, I can't believe its been over a year since I played. If Cyberpunk is as good as this game is I will love playing it from my wheelchair when it releases in 2077.
