Just finished up the last chapter before the Epilogues in RDR2...

Not only is this game on my Mount Rushmore, it's firmly in the top spot. I've always had a hard time pinpointing a singular favorite game of mine, but that has ended. Absolutely phenomenal masterpiece from beginning to end and I still have both epilogues to go. Maybe I've just been missing it, but this game deserves to be sucked off on this board just as much, if not more than Witcher 3.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go re-hydrate after losing all of my body's moisture through my eyes.

Incredible game. The complaints I’ve seen on this board are so minuscule I can’t take the reviewers seriously as someone that actually plays an entire game.

It's the single most immersive video game experience I've ever had. Even how they managed to remedy "video gamey" issues like conversations overlapping each other or dialogue getting cut off by other interactions is flawless. I genuinely don't understand what there could be to complain about.
I guess it could be perceived as melodramatic at times, but I never thought it was over the top. If anything it only served to make the game even better. I've never had to blink back tears DURING gameplay until this game.

"Is RDR2 the best game ever made?" thread from a few months ago

I haven’t been as connected to a game since the OG Skyrim. It’s top tier for sure.

I got curious to see how it did and found out it's the 10th most sold game ever made. So well deserved.

It has a good story....for a video game. The bar is low.

It's the only game I've ever played where the ending made me emotional.

One of my best experiences in games happened in RDR2..
I was in the mountains on my horse and had a head on collision with another guy and his horse. My horse died but his lived and got up, he was talking shite to me.
I ran over to punch him but accidentally punched his horse instead, his horse kicked me and I died while falling down a hill, as I was falling in my last moments I saw a grizzly bear attack the man out of nowhere and heard him scream as it faded to black

Solid choice. It’s easily in my top 10 if not top 5. Numero uno not for me but I can’t argue against anyone saying it’s theirs

Meh
Lost interest after it released, was pretty boring and tedious.
Found out about a gold bullion glitch. Glitched my way to having an obscene amount of gold. Bought everything I could and unlocked everything I could in the camp. It was finally fun, for a little while.
Lost interest again about 1/2 way through.
Maybe I need to give it another try
ETA guessing my lack of interest is because I grew up on a big farm and we have a bunch of horses. RDR2 wasn’t much of an escape from reality

quote:It's a Rockstar game, brother. You coulda just put in the cheat code at any time. Even so the story throws money at you so I never really felt pressured to look for more options.

It's a fantastic game, but the clunky controls can get seriously tedious. Especially when trying to go through items in a room.

Has anyone seen Gavin?

Really enjoyed the game but I hated the fast travel mechanic. Wish you could just pop a camp site up like RDR. RDR is still in my probably top 3 ever with Skyrim and Wild Hunt

Fantastic game. My only complaint was the part where I had to do chores around the farm. wtf

I also made it to the epilogue but haven't finished that part. I've debated starting the game over or going out and hunting/catching etc. everything.

I’m currently running through the Epilogue. Amazing game, I had walked away somewhere around the Shady Belle St Denis section and picked it back up a few months ago. Love the game.
