It took me a while to figure this out, but I beat Vader pretty easily (after about 10 deaths) by running in a circle around him and doing a running strike real quick before running away again in a circle. After about 3 strikes, his block breaks and you can get a few extra hits in. It took some patience this way, but I survived it with stims to spare.

Yeah Cere is a fair bit more agile than he is Vader just kinda hasa casual stroll for most of the boss fight except for the one unlockable attack he will unleash if youre just a bit more than half way across the room from him that includes a spin slash and uppercut thats only used in phase 3 from my testing of it though.

Im on the double rancor fight. I took out one and as it is doing the kill cut scene the other grabs me in the middle of it. I was done for the day

I still don't think they should have had her fighting Vader again, that should've been a 1 game thing.

Rather it be the Grand Inquisitor with backup. Vader is special and should be used sparingly, not in each game and especially not nerfd.

It seems to me they are showing all the signs of setting up a Cal vs Vader battle in third act. I am not so sure thats a good idea because we all know Cal cant win by killing Vader so either we know he dies or something wonky happens.

I hope they don’t kill him because I think his character has a ton of potential outside of the games.

He is by far the best character or concept to come from Star Wars since it has been under the umbrella of the mouse. I have no idea where they are going to take the third game but if Disney had any fricking common sense at all assuming Cal doesnt die in the final part of the trilogy theyd scrap the Rey fan fiction and place Cal in that sort of role on Tannalor. His character has so much to it thats unique in a way to the Star Wars universe and truly could have limitless potential but theyll probably frick it up. We know he cant have any major impact or anything that infringes on the movie cannon.

Maybe he spends time with Vader..non-combat, just deals with the darkside a lot. Some good back and forth dialog.

In the trilogy finale I'd like them to explore more of the darkside route, and have possible interactions between Cal and Palpatine.

His journey may parallel Anakin's in ways, especially if Merrin becomes pregnant. IF that's even possible..Dathomir's people have more than 1 heart, so..eh...I suppose Bode's daughter will fill that role.

She could possibly be tempted to the dark side, especially if force sensitive. Look at her idiot father.

Bode was a good character and a great twist imo even though some people say they thought it was obvious but its how he reacts when they finally confront him on Tanalor that just kills it for me. He isnt Darth Vader hes just a former jedi thats good at fighting but definitely not at the level to face Cal and Merrin at once. Its the most stupid thing ever they offered exactly what he is offering with a slight difference. Ive seen post explain this away as he had fallen to the dark side but I actually dont think thats true or he ever did.

His motivation was clearly his daughter and he did terrible things for it but he didnt embrace the dark side of the force or anything his betrayal and evil were all very human emotions. Force echoes and in game clues left behind after you kill him are unlocked and they show him truly struggling with doing this and trying to think of a way to get Cal to see his point of view.

Knowing all of that, if we take it to be true, and that his red light saber isnt an indication he did turn because he simply took it off Dagans dead body, his choice at the end is retarded as frick and im glad he died.

I just hope the next game focuses on The Sith, and those planets.

If you taste the darkside, it's difficult to get back to the light. I can see Cal training Kata and maybe her being tempted.

Or maybe Vader begins trying to train Cal in secret. Showing him deaths and playing with his fear and hate. Fulfilling that Starkiller role.

Maybe Merrin and Kata team up to save Cal..

What I hope doesnt happen, is Cal dies and Kata takes over.

I dont want the trilogy to end with Cals death mostly for one reason and it is because I want more content with him in it. Funnily enough he is likely the most valuable star wars universe Disney created or adapted character.

I wouldnt mind with it ending with his death if its a death like ceres though or it makes sense and is well done. The struggle from the start of this trilogy is the big black heavily breathing continuity enforcer of how much they can do and where they can really go.

They more or less have to kill him though. Either that or conjure some good reason he wasnt around being a high ranking member or outright leader of the rebel alliance.

Not necessarily, he may be living out life with Merrin on a planet far away from the empire, and has to come back..as an old man.

He wouldnt be that old. How much of a time skip do you anticipate for the third game? I am guessing roughly 10 years to get Kata to the age more less Cal was in Fallen Order.

10 for the 1st half and much more after that.

Cal and Kata could be a mirroring of Cere and Trilla Suduri. But Cal is successful where Cere failed.

So….. I had a thought. Is it at all possible that Tanalorr is discovered by the empire in the third game and that’s the planet that Palpatine uses to clone himself along with building the final order we see in The Rise of Skywalker?

Because they get to that planet the same way Cal and them got to Tanalorr

I just did the Jedha action sequence with Merrin at the end, and that was freaking awesome.

Cere sucks and honestly the main villains were kinda blah. The dark side force ability you get at the end is phenomenal and makes me hope and wish that on the 3rd game you can turn to the dark side.

Wish there were more planets to explore

Make it interactive.

Let the fans decide on if Cal turns to the Darkside or stays in the light.

Sorta like how they did in the 80s with the Batman & Robin (kill him or not kill him) poll.

Vader was all along training Cal in secret. Luke has to take him on, whereas Cal's power in the darkside has kept him young, as he has finally discovered the Sith secrets to eternal life.

And he no longer fears death.

Or him and Luke rebuild the Jedi, while Rey watches.

I kind of wish it was the GI too. Vader being in FO was perfect. GI here would have been fantastic. Vader should always be used sparingly, like the shark in Jaws. Still, I don’t mind Cere giving him a run. A Jedi’s greatest obstacle is always fear, even more so than anger and hate. I feel like once a Jedi conquers that, which few do, they get a pretty sizeable boost in power, like Obi Wan in the Kenobi series, Cere in Survivor. Even Vader comments on her power boost during their fight.

Plus, I think Vader underestimated her for most of the fight until she surprised him with the burning rubble. He was using one hand for most of the fight until the very end.
