Will need more time for the numbers to flesh out, but it's not off to the strongest start. 37th in terms of active players right now. Peaked at 39k players.

The Ubisoft store was offering a 20% discount by using 100 of whatever their currency is, so that's where I purchased mine. But I don't know what the overall sales numbers are so can't say if it's doing bad or not.

Did Valhalla or Origins drop on Steam Day 1?
I thought this was the first day 1 AC drop on steam in a while.
Would explain lower player counts on releases that people had played elsewhere.
I expect Shadows to sell well. My contention is that nobody will remember this game in 6 months. AC is too big and IP to fail in an epic manner. Think Madden or NBA2k.
The question isn't "will it sell?", but "will it sell enough to save Ubisoft?"

I bought the game last month but if I knew it was some woke bullshite I wouldn't have bought it. I have too much to play as it is.

The option to romance certain PC's, regardless of sex, has been in the games since Odyssey. If he does gay stuff, that's on you.
It's historical fiction, like all of their games have been. This is hard concept for people to wrap their heads around for some reason.

We are all aware the games are historical fiction.
We are also all aware how the game has shifted as modern culture has…or better yet…tried to shift as well.
That shift in culture has been rejected….for now at least…and it’s gonna cost a lot of businesses some money.
Ubi bought into the nonsense and it’s hurt them.

Other than try hards like Grummz, people who can't let this shite go, absolutely no one is talking about the black samurai. That never even came up in the Japanese parliment video. That won't be the reason this game will be deemed a failure if that happens.

Brother….its been about the black samurai since he was announced. It literally opened pandoras gate into all of these other things people are talking about such as shrines,etc. People were absolutely looking for reasons to shite on the game once that was announced.
Surely….some part of you has to agree.
Now, lets say they decided to go full Japanese cast and then video gets out about non binary sex etc….the results may still be the same.
But the point remains. It’s bad business decisions being made.

Yasuke has appeared in games before. I keep asking, why is this all of the sudden a issue? Ubisoft messed up with the shrines, bad decision, and I think they remedied it today. Him being black was just fuel for wish casting.
Tell me why split fiction is doing so well? By the standards today, that game is woke as hell. Answer is simply because it's a good game and people enjoy playing it. Will be the same with Shadows.
