It seems like some game review sites review games without playing..

Just letting YouTube (Autoplay) do its thing and it brings up some random review channels.
Some shtt these reviewers say are so off base it makes you think wtf? Then sometimes the review is so generic it makes you think, you just read that somewhere kid.
Tech and game review channels do a whole lot of talking but say very little.

I still contend fo76 wasn't that bad. Not great, sure, but playable and dare I even say, fun for me.
Not my point tho. Fo76 is when I realized what your OP is about. Many peoole just piled in for clicks because it was popular at the time to hate Bethesda.
They probably deserved a lot of backlash. Not arguing that. However it became apparent many reviewers didnt even play or couldn't come up with an original though

I know it’s not a popular game, but the reviews for Metal Gear Survive were pure fake news. The line “you put up a fence and poke zombies” must have been repeated on every review. That game wasn’t remotely as bad as anyone said. They were just butthurt it wasn’t MGS6: The Next Overrated Kojima Meme Game.
Game was complete. It had a full single-player campaign. It had no bugs I ever came across. The multiplayer was fine. It had micro transactions, which pretty much every game has.
