Yeah, a more futuristic version of call of duty with robots and the ability to get to top of maps etc, which normally doesn't happen in COD

It's a futuristic shooter with wall running and mechs, but so much smoother and proper maps. Plays great.

It is what the New CODs wish they were as far as movement and gunplay. Maps are also designed for the movement so it all flows together.

I really liked Titanfall1. TF2 is good but the first one had way better maps. I think the movement feels better than call of duty. Everything is just smooth.
But to answer you question, it is a shooter like CoD. I have never played a ton of CoD (played a lot of MW2 and BLOPS but thats mostly it) I just dont love the feel of the game. Titanfall has a CoD feel for sure. I honestly think its just plays better.

I like the game too, but I think the criticisms from the beta are valid. They added so much shite to the multiplayer where it feels like you are constantly unlocking things the more you play. It's deep and very rewarding, but I think the base, moment-to-moment gameplay of Titanfall 2 is inferior to 1. I'm not sure why Respawn choose to change so much of the core gameplay instead of just adding all the superfluous content to the core gameplay elements of the original.

Agree. I loved how vertical maps were in TF. Now I just feel like I'm playing cod maps with better player movement.

The campaign is really fun though. It goes from solid to awesome in the last 2 or 3 missions. I'd play a Titanfall 3 just for the single player.

Really dug into it last night. Got really good. Added a mechanic I thought was pretty brilliant.
I saw some comparisons to Portal when it launched which I didn't get, but it made sense last night. Nothing to do with portals, but some clever platforming.
