What is everyone using pass control wise? Revamp pass?

Placement and accuracy for me. Been using it on Madden.

I don't really see or understand the benefit of the Revamp passing? Although I turned it off after a few games.

The passing system and animations are complete trash. Several times I've had wide open receivers streaking down the field and the computer takes pace off the deep ball because a defender is within 5 yards and it ends up an interception. You try to compensate by throwing a bullet pass and it goes 5 yards too far. Interception returns by the CPU almost always go for a pick 6. The speed and break tackle boosts that randomly appear for mediocre players for the CPU are annoying too. Hopefully these are things that will be fixed on the first big update.

Not going to lie to you man. If this is your experience you need to turn down the difficulty. Same goes for others bitching about it being too hard or unrealistic or they don’t have the time to pour in. There is a difficulty setting. Higher difficulty means the game is more difficult. Turn it down.

It's not hard, it's just way different then the last time a NCAA game was released which is the last time I played a football game.

RPO, and WR zone passes work really well and are more accurate to 2024 CFB.

Straight vert routes aren't a guarantee unless you play them off short passes and runs.

Olines don't pass protect as well, so longer to develop routes might leave you more likely to get sacked.

Try auburns off playbook, get a mobile or moderately mobile QB. Learn to RPO, zone pass sweeps (or whatever the WR handoff run is, learn to follow blocks, and get used to slants, TE center crosses and more than just straight vert routes.

Now defense, I still suck at tackling so no idea.

I've got a really good play action wheel to the TE in Auburns playbook but I get sacked before I can even play fake it 95% of the time.

But if you can get that good blocking the tight end almost always gets open.

that depends...

are you familiar with reading coverages and adjusting your lineman according?

do you know the proper hot routes to use based on those coverages?

do you know what your line gap designations are?

do you know the difference between a power run and a dive play?

if you're a retard, like me, that don't know these things, then yes... it's fricking hard.

but, i have a hard time believing comments like yours and Roux's when the CPU plays lights out regardless of the team.

games like UGA vs Iowa should not be close at all. yet, here we are.

and getting trounced by FCS teams in dynasty....? that's a problem.

i also have a hard believing folks that say this game is easy when DB reaction times are super quick. a safety guarding one receiver should not be able to react/break up/intercept the ball that is thrown 20 yards away from his general direction.

LBs should not be able to swat passes that are thrown towards their back when they're not looking at the ball. how do they know to swat the pass when they're not looking at the QB?

it's things like this that get to me when i play. for what i do know in regards to offense, i know even less about defense. so i refuse to play it.

Passing mechanics took time to get used to. I have them mostly down now.
Pass protection is still a joke but not as bad- maybe they patched it??
I still can’t run read options due to the now opposite button controls.
Defense is tough but now that I have a grasp of the playbooks, I’m actually getting a few stops.

All in all, it’s a difficult game but I like it that way. ‘14 got boring

I’m 13-3 in road to the CFP. Haven’t lost by more than 6 points yet. That said, it’s not an “easy” game.

I’m at my best playing ball control offense and picking up 7-10 yards at a time. Throwing down the field usually results in a negative play for me.

When an opponent goes into hurry up at the end of halves I can’t stop shite. My defense strategy is basically pray for negative plays. I’ll usually send at least 5 guys every other play since the pass blocking is broken, and I’ll set my edges to contain anytime I’m playing a mobile QB. They all have an insatiable desire to snap the ball and sprint from the pocket, and contain usually results in a sack when they try to get to the edge.

I did play a guy online yesterday that just spammed shallow mesh concepts the whole game and I really couldn’t stop it. Man can’t keep up with it and there’s holes in any zone. If I user cover the TE he would hit the slot crossing the other way and vice versa for 7-10 yards at a time. Convinces he could’ve done nothing but that and won the game with ease.

Instead (he was Georgia) he had a touchdown lead with 50 seconds left in the game around midfield. Went for it on 4th and 10+ in a hurry up, I got a strip sack and returned it for a touchdown. Went for two to win and got it. I’m feeling pretty great at this point because he’s played like a fricking rat all game and I just snatched it away from him because of his own dumbassery.

Nope. He housed the kickoff 106 yards untouched

idk I dont love some
of the mechanics

the RPO mechanic seems busted if you want to throw longer routes because you either have to throw or it automatically hands the ball off.

Good. I'm not looking for the ARMA version of EA football levels of realism......but they should absolutely make the game where you can't just keep throwing 4 verts all game long.

Playing defense on this game is a joke. Wide open receivers all over the place. Your Line gets zero pressure. Open field tackling is as difficult as I can ever remember.

It's comical.

So, just like real college football
