It's about 14 minutes long. Looks pretty decent.

The spider crawling out was kinda cool
The slide animation looks awful, and they show it over and over in the first 3 minutes. Lazy mechanic
It should be 3rd person, first person platforming is stupid
Gina is going to be features waaaaay more than any of ya'll will admit.

I don't know who this is.

This is in pretty much every game like this.

As someone who roasted the first few trailers of this game, this one turned me back the other way and has likely convinced me to play it. Looks excellent visually with great environments, voice acting sounds amazing and well-directed (as with all MachineGames games), and it looks like they've nailed the world. It's distinctive in two ways: the main gameplay loop and the perspective (with a caveat).
It's more interesting and more mechanically appropriate for Indy to research and solve puzzles rather than just kill 500 people (as opposed to Uncharted), assuming these things are implemented well. If the writing and puzzle design are good, I think it will be successful. Big potential plus.
I support the use of first person as the primary view since every single action-adventure game these days is in 3rd person and it will be mechanically distinguished from the Tomb Raiders and Uncharteds...but then they play themselves with the constant shifts to third person. They really fricked up with this. I can count on one hand how many games have executed it successfully. There is absolutely no reason that you should be throwing your whip in first person, watching him swing for 1.5sec in third person, then snapping back to first person. Looks like shite. The only things that are better in third person are extended climbing segments and vehicle operation. Some of the first-person animations look wonky (like the sliding J mentioned earlier), but nothing deal breaking.
On a separate note, MachineGames has obnoxiously woke writing and I worry about that pervading the game, but that will have to be examined after release. Overall though, I am much more interested in playing having watched this vid

This will definitely decide how good this game is.

I agree. I'm hoping that segment is from the tutorial level, and that's not a constant.

Do they? I haven't really played a lot of Wolfenstein or Doom. I did watch my oldest play a Doom game and it seemed pretty ok. I honestly hadn't heard this complaint about those games before so I'm curious.

Wolfenstein New Order is one of the best modern shooters out there. Mechanically outstanding, great level variety, terrifying nazis, and a host of other things they totally nailed. When New Colossus was announced, I was pumped for a bigger and better sequel
What’d we get? A game with:
Americans rolling over and accepting nazis since it allowed them to be openly racist after being invaded. The KKK becomes a prominent and accepted societal presence lol. Of course there is a white-hating, black female, resistance leader caricature. The resistance consists of black panthers and a communist dude that lectures you. Not joking
BJ’s dad being a racist conservative caricature that makes child BJ kill his dog because he is friends with a black girl. I’m not joking
A scene where BJ has to be saved by his pregnant girlfriend dual wielding LMGs with her tits out while she’s screams and gets showered in blood. I’m not joking

Most disappointing game I ever played. The writing was so bad that it made me hate the gameplay even though there was nothing wrong with it.
Characters were so obnoxious, while New Order’s characters were surprisingly engaging.
The game jumps the shark after the decapitation scene, and I still can’t figure out what the Hitler scene was supposed to be. Frightening? Humorous? All I felt was bafflement for the shite playing out before my eyes, and remorse for the 60 dollars I wasted.

Wow. That's embarrassing. Well, hopefully they've learned their lessons now because this woke crap is not selling games.

This is going to play out exactly like Hogwarts: Legacy. It's all surface level. No real NPC interactions, no consequential player choice. The exact same puzzles repeated over and over again in different fonts. Some very basic platforming. I don't know how they're going to keep the story from being on complete rails.
If not for the veneer of Indiana Jones this would be a poorly received basic adventure game.

Is this something you've seen from other MachineGames games? They didn't make Hogwarts Legacy.

Agree with all of this. It was shockingly disappointing. You said nothing was wrong with gameplay, but I partially disagree with that too. In addition to the game ending way too early at what should've been the 2nd Act, it had the absolute worst hit notification I've ever encountered in an FPS. I typically play games on highest difficulty, but I had to notch it down because you never had a clue where you were being shot from. There was no visual response or indication that you were getting shot or where from, no controller vibration, a laughably small red screen to show low health - you just magically died
It's one of maybe 4-5 games that I sold to gamestop in my life

I'd imagine we end up a little more insulated from this writing given the Indy brand and not having as much leeway with storytelling. I think it'll be fine if its just a straightforward globetrotting romp with the movies' tone

This would be a home run. Given Disney's track record and what is being described here about recent MachineGames writing...I'm a little concerned.
At least with Game Pass I don't have to worry about spending $70 on this and then finding out it's woke garbage.

Machine Games wasnt involved in any Doom games except a small part of Doom 2: Legacy of Rust. Im hopeful Wolfenstein:The New Order and The Old Blood were great. I'm replaying The New Order right now and it still one of the best FPS ever imo. But my god did they shite the bed with The New Colossus and The New Blood.
