PS4 fans just have an ongoing hard on right now for sony because of the 5+ years they were the worse console. I mean PS4 online in the past was absolute shite. But I will admit they do seem to be the leading console now. Which pains me to say as an xbox diehard

Xbox this gen is a complete joke and I can say that because I have one collecting dust next to the rest of this gen's consoles.

As someone who had a PS2, then switched to the 360, and then back to the PS4, I have to say, PS has been ruling this generation pretty handily. What on Xbox is a must buy? They don't have Halo anymore. And honestly I don't even know what else there is.

The only thing I'll give to Xbone over the PS4 is backwards compatibility. Exclusives, it's not even close. Even their newest big hitter Sea of Thieves is a disappointing mess from everything I've read. I do miss some Halo but there's nothing on that platform that makes me regret getting a PS4.

From what I can tell, there's just not a lot to do. Hijacking other boats is pretty much just a bunch of griefing, no real incentive.

Drake games have run their course and The Last of Us isn’t a must play game for me. All I’m missing out on is The Show.

I have played bloodborne, horizon, and the last of us.
I own nier and nioh, but I haven’t spent any real time with them.
A lot of the overly Japanese style games don’t appeal to me at all. I don’t feel like I’d be missing much if I didn’t have a ps4. The majority of titles that I like are multiplat.
Even so, this stuff is cyclical. Microsoft is getting creamed right now, but that can always change in a year or two.

Xbox Live is much better than PSN. There may be less people playing on it, but the download speeds are so much faster. I can actually play a 50gb game I buy digitally the same day I buy it. It would take 12 hours on PSN.
I do take issue with you saying Sony was the worst console for 5+ years. To a degree, it's all subjective, but 2006-2010 I think were kind of the dark ages for Sony. Once developers became more efficient at programming for the console, third party games became comparable to the 360 versions and in some cases (due to blu ray storage capacity and better hardware) surpassed them.
Nevermind the fact that the PS3 doubled as a Blu Ray player which only became more relevant with each passing year as Blu Rays increased in popularity over DVDs.
I do think that overall, the PS3 actually ended up outselling the Xbox 360.
