Still have yet to play it. I’m hoping to get to it sometime later this year.

I’m over 400 hours but I’ll pick it up and just roam around for fun every couple weeks.

THIS. I have never played a game that MADE we want to climb everything I could see and dig for every little nook and cranny to see what I might find.

You would like Skyrim.

I finally got a horse and rode that thing all over last night, just phenomenal.
Ive never had a map consume me like this one.

didn't we all
There's a tower in the middle of Hyrule field between the plateau and the castle IIRC with a bunch of stationary guardians around it and a few moving ones. I got sniped off of that thing many times. Central Tower I think it was called.

140ish
I would have put in more, but the Switch has ended up being an adventure/rpg gamer's dream...so 140 in this, 150 in XC2, 100 in Fire Emblem, 90 in FF XII and 60 in FFIX.
Too much to play.

Hated Skyrim actually. It bored me quickly.

When I first started Skyrim I didn't like it either. As soon as I saw the locking in on the map to do quests and got out of the beginning phase it was great. The graphics are unreal open world. Dawnguard was amazing to find as well as the tree sap place.

My 7 year old and I have been playing it for over a year consistently (I only let him play a few hours a week during the school year). Probably 200ish, but he's also content to travel around killing Hinoxes or Lynels.

I don’t know if I’m caught in the moment but this is the best video game I have ever played.
Just wow.
I heard it was unreal but when you actually play it..... wow.

A link to the past has always been my GOAT but this might have it beat.

loved it when I heard a shrine location sound. the shrines were weird. I didn't like the tilt a puzzle ball crap so much as the other puzzled things. I hope BOTW2 has better shrines.

OoT was always my undisputed number one game of all time but Witcher 3 and Breath of the Wild were the first times I ever questioned it.

Same here. And I've been playing the Witcher 3 the past few months and pretty much fell in love with it (thank you Animal Crossing for helping me break that addiction) and while I think Witcher may the be the "best" game I've ever played, BOTW is probably my favorite.
And as cool as some of the moments in Witcher were, none of them gave me the same feeling BOTW did. I'm jealous of you for playing it for the first time. I wish I could relive that experience again.

My top 3 games of all-time are
1) OoT
2) Witcher 3
3) Breath of the Wild
Witcher 3 and BOTW switch places every now and then. The story in The Witcher 3 was more captivating to me. The world in BOTW is the best open world game though

I keep getting mad playing Witcher, 100+ hours into it trying to climb up cliffs like Link

I started using the pro controller, made this even better

I'm ashamed to say I've played it through twice and never defeated a Lynel.
I played it when it first came out on Wii U. My 13 year old got a switch about a year ago and wanted it for Christmas for the switch. He stopped playing after a few sessions so I grabbed it and play it from start with my 5 year old watching. My 5 year old loves to watch me or someone else just play video games. He is addicted to Mario walk through vids, Sonic walk through vids or now he is into various Lego game vids like Lego Worlds, Lego City Undercover or Lego Super Heroes. He will then go play the games on the switch.
