It is interesting to me that, of all the PC gamers here, I think I'm the only one who is actually 100% exclusively a PC gamer and mostly have been so for the past 20 years, and I've probably trolled console threads the least, if at all. I mean, I think the whole "master race" schtick is funny, and obviously I know the key differences and advantages and try to chime in and clarify when necessary, but when threads go on and on with petty insults, I just don't understand it. Between that and the "justify your android/apple purchase" meltdown threads, I feel like I must be out of the loop on something to really get why those threads keep happening and dragging on.

Because I enjoy responding to trolls with serious non-angry remarks.
Most of the time they continue trying to troll and I just continue responding calmly. Eventually they shut their pieholes.

I'm exclusive to PC as well, but I've only been that way for about a year. I only play my roommates 360 when he wants to play FIFA or NCAA

Typical response from a consolite. "You spend so much money on gaming, you have no life". When in reality, I have more going in life if I'm able to spend more money on high end hardware and you're stuck with Sony/Microsoft

Video games are fun. I play them everyday. But it's just pointless entertainment. It doesn't mean anything. It's not important.
The fact that you seem to derive some real pride or self worth from your video game preferences is, for me, 75% comical and 25% depressing. Thus to you I say:

I don't feel anything. I instantly judge the person though. Mind you that I am the only person I know IRL that has touched a video game controller in probably 10 years, so its mostly just you guys.
