Just got into it and about to go back to my guardian to complete my first main quest after getting the trip guard thing. Any advice?
Take your time and don't rush through the game. Explore and do all of the side stuff. The game is a masterpiece.

Finished the game last night and had a good time my takeaways below, so obvious SPOILERS IN THIS POST BELOW!!!
SPOILERS!!!
I disliked the end being a mega strong deathbringer. I was hoping for a new machine instead. And the fact no main characters died bugged me. I have a few others like side missions didn't feel like they added much other than knowing who was who for the final battle and those giant machines you see like in AT WORLD'S END or in the end credits would have been cool to fight and I can't wait for the next part of the story. Also would have been cool for more robots and if there were pack robots.
Overall I had a great time though. Storyline was good, the calderons were fun and it had some fun moments like in one mission I was climbing up a mountain and Alloy said "don't look down" do I obviously did and then the she said something like "ahhh why did I look down??". I legit loled. I thought the way they made her make those quips was a fun small thing. Another example is her reactions when she comes out the other side of mothers mountain and they begin worshiping her.
Nill was an interesting character. I chose to fight him at the end because it seemed that's what Aloy's character would have done since he'd just go kill innocents. I don't know if the choices you make have much of a difference though. Pretty sure that fight was happening even if I said no to it. I wish they made the choices she makes more severe and you learn of it come later. Like if I said no and then a side mission comes of a lone bandit raiding and murdering villages.
I give it an 8.8 out of 10. Was a good time and I may replay it later down the road which is a huge accolade from me since I hate replaying games.

SPOILERS
I didn't fight nil, he eventually respects your decision and walks away. He then joins you for the final act when you defend the city with the rocket launcher. He was my favorite side quest character

Should have kept him alive damn. Fighting him wasn't hard but he packed a punch when he hit you. Could have helped a bit.

Finally gave in and bought a PS4 for this game. Got one second hand for just 180 so it's worth it.
This game is gorgeous and so much fun so far and I feel like I just completed the intro. Just got named a Seeker and just now leaving the Embrace. I'm excited to get out here.

I finished the game this evening. I am a huge fan of the lore of this world they have created. I like how the end of the game addresses the biggest elephant in the room (who sent the signal?) and set up a sequel

I have to jump back into this game. I had a conundrum bc I had this game and played it 2 weeks straight but then I was able to find a Switch and I couldnt leave Zelda sitting. So about 40 hours into HZD I started Zelda and I haven't went back since. I also have the FFXV DLC to play.
I need to put Zelda down this week and beat Horizon, I really enjoyed my time with it. The lore and story are top notch and the combat and graphics are top tier.

Also, I gotta say the sounds coming through the controller are very cool. It adds just a tiny bit of immersion that is something I never knew I was missing.
The PS4's home screen needs work, though. Nowhere near as clean an organized as Xbox.

frick that, the Xbox UI is a pos. Every iteration of it in the last 5 years has sucked cock. I love my folders on the PS4. Nice and tidy

To each their own, I suppose. The Xbox UI flows more seamlessly for me.

Got over the hump with this game and I'm in love. Zelda has actually been pushed to the side for the time being.
I will have to say that the developers must have a fetish for wild boars. I've been trying to get all of my satchels upgraded, and finding rats is a chore, but I can chunk a rock in any direction and tag a boar.

So far, this game has shattered my expections. I love everything about it.
It's just so smooth. From sliding to fighting to running to riding a strider, it's just so damn smooth/clean.
Yea it's a blast
Bought a PS4 pro last night pretty much just for this game. Loving it so far. About to go through the proving.

I re-visited the ruins you found as a child and found your focus. Pro-tip that took me way too long to figure out: you can smash the rocks blocking the way to hidden rooms with your staff. Not sure how long I looked for a hidden entrance.

I've been calling for pack robots for so long. They NEED TO BE IN THE NEW DLC.
Spoilers!!!!
I too wish more main characters died and the final battle should have been a different machine than a deathbringer. The ending scene where Hades goes away and they pan to the giant robots has me hopeful about the continuing of the story.

I really wanted to love this game, but I quickly got bored with it after that first big fight inside the gate.

This is the second time I've seen this. Explain.

Like wolves or velociraptors. Robots that work as a group would be cool to see and go up against. Closest thing they have to that are the Glinthawks but they're just numerous.
