I like terrablast arrows for human enemies. They make it easy to rack up a bunch of critical hits
I'm surprised by how solid the side content is. Not quite Witcher level but definitely better than other open-world games

Really? I have never even thought about this. Terrablast is pretty much my go to opener for any machine that may give me trouble. Did not think it would effect humans.
Set traps, snipe off enemies best weapon or ability with terrablast, attack with its weakness.

I play on the 2nd hardest. I found normal too easy because I explore a lot and that tends to get you over leveled.
I have not tried the highest level of difficulty.
For example, I just took down Redmaw last night. It was a lv 19 quest with a lv 27 machine. I was lv 41.

I only saw the intro scene lol. I got tired and said if I'm going to play this I want to be fully alert

I get open world fatigue all the time with games like this but the machine combat is so fun that I have not gotten it much yet.

I'm on Very Hard. Currently lvl 20. I can still get rocked by normal enemies. I like the challenge though. The bandits are the true challenge though. I'm not high enough to take out the elites in one hit yet.

Just got it downloaded this morning. Started at about 11, sometime later controller dies, I check the time and it is 3:30.

just finished it. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I did feel overleveled at the end after doing a bunch of side mission and hunting trials.

Just finished my second cauldron, the boss was a pain in the arse cause I ran out of fire arrows and blaze crafting material

The 2nd one I did was a snapmaw and a ravager. Killed me once and got them the 2nd time.

I've done 3. The snapmaw one wasn't bad at all, but mainly because I killed a bunch trying to get a heart and learned how to work them pretty quickly. The third one was unlike the first two. You get to the end and just pickup a machine gun and do work. The first one took me a few tries because I was still learning how to kill machines efficiently. I'm getting ready for the 4 one tonight.

Gotcha. The first killed me twice and then I placed a bunch of traps.
