Have you guys been struggling to get a PlayStation Portal for the holidays?

Just copped one from Best Buy.
Suggestion:
Don't bother adding to cart and sitting through the queue. You'll lose everytime.
Go straight to the customer service chat bot. You get an actual bot to start off with, but if you follow these steps, you should be able to get one during a drop:
1) Ask for an agent, "I need an agent, please." You'll get a button in the chat to speak with a real person.
2) Once the chat opens for the agent, say "I was recently notified that the PlayStation Portal is in stock, but I'm having trouble ordering. Can you help me? SKU 6562576."
3) The agent will ask you to confirm your full name, email address, and phone number. Give it to them.
4) If they're still in stock, they will ask you to confirm your shipping address. Confirm it.
5) They will send you an invoice via email. Click the link in the email. It will take you to your cart. Check out as fast as you can. Having your payment info already in your account will help.
6) Inform the agent that you successfully checked out. A receipt will be sent to your email.
7) Congrats!!! You won.

I don't understand who is buying these.
What's your specific use case for this?

my only assumption it's the holidays and that they just released. i have no other reasoning than that. it's the PS5s/Xboxs all over again.

someone asked why you would buy this, and you answered as if you were another person..
thats not the answer that someone who tried to buy it would put

i tried to buy one for a friend who wanted one for his kid for christmas. that's why "i" bought one. i don't know why others are buying them.
and to use an alt-account for something as dumb as this would be dumb.
this isn't even a troll.

Looks very complicated and glitchy to do that however

I might’ve over explained it. You simply talk to their chat about ordering one and they’ll send you an email that would allow you to checkout. It’s that simple.
It’s no different than you going into the store, asking where they are, and they hand you one. Except there are none in stores at the moment.

Why would you ever want to remote play though? Makes no sense.

I don’t know exactly. I can see kids wanting it for when they’re on vacation.
Maybe your wife is controlling the tv and you want to play without interruption.

Before I realized it sucked I would do D4 grinding on Deck while watching TV - barely had to look at the screen.

My kid can play his PS5 while we are on vacation. He can play his PS5 in his bedroom when his sisters want to use the TV for netflix. He can play single player games with a decent hotspot connection in the car while traveling. I get it may not be for everyone, but I definitely see a market for it.
