yeah i know. i wish i would have taken a flyer on it when it was the 15 buck early access. no way i'm paying 40 at this point

Most folks should pass. Short campaign. Around 10 hours. Buggy. Online issues. Cohhcarnage did a sponsored play and his final thoughts were fairly negative.

Diablo clone is basically its own genre these days. Hard to fault the game for any of that.

Watched some streams of it this weekend, actually got me to finally give Diablo III a try (because it has a free trial). Never been a big ARPG fan, any tips for someone completely new to the genre?

if you're playing D3 find a build that fits your play style and work towards gearing the character. diablofans.com is the best place to find a build

I got it for $30 off their website. I just finished the campaign and have only done a few endgame things. Is it a buggy mess, sure. It has tons of promise tho. IMO it’s way better than D3 was at launch. It’s not as complex as PoE but has more meat to it than D3. It’s a solid middle ground. Will have to wait over the next couple of weeks to see if the devs are going to actually fix the bugs.

The consensus I've seen today is to wait at least a week to see how they do or don't fix things before buying

Despite being the buggiest game I've ever played in my life (and I just played Warcraft 3 Reforged), it's pretty fun. But be warned...
Constant crashes
Sometimes the quests just bug out and you have to restart
Some of the passives don't actually do anything
Balance on some of the spells/skills is among the worse I've ever seen in any game
Servers were down for something like 48 hours straight on like the second or third day it was released
Have to click items 20 times to actually sell them
