People get so invested in defending media/entertainment companies.
At the end of the day, these are all just products. And the shitty practices really underscore that fact. Makes it hard for me to enjoy the fun aspects of the transaction when it feels so predatory.

I can see Call of Duty doing it with specific maps and maybe weapons.
The fact the things are in the game for you to see, and not able to access, is what is kinda skeevy for a day 1.
I'm still gonna buy it, don't get me wrong.
This is an event game. Imagine if theaters jacked up ticket prices right before Endgame. . .and made Butter an extra $20 on your popcorn
they have a right to do it, and people will pay it. . .but damn is it still skeevy as frick.

According to Sony. I doubt it will be optimized for PS5 Pro. They definitely aren't making this game specifically for that system. They wouldn't sell enough copies.
