Why you opt for Freesync over Gsync?

I've never had something so nice like this as far as keyboards are concerned. THe mouse is insane also. The infinite scroll wheel is a game changer for things like Excel. My wife told me she is getting one for work.

Freesync is free for the company to use. It's open sourced. G sync costs a bit more. I think the G sync version was like 450 as opposed to the freesync version was 250.

Don’t some graphic cards require G-Sync though and can’t run FreeSync?

I thought it made more sense for you to opt for Gsync, running Nvidia gpu.

I don't have to use the software.

Put the card in my rig last night, I'll just say you're in for a treat.

Hate it? Strong. Why would you use it if you hate it?

Its awful for gaming, too sensitive. I prefer the more tactile setting

Lol why would you use it in gaming though? I would only use it in scrolling web pages or databases.

Im getting old and lazy. Built my last 3 pc's myself.
My current one is getting old and dying.
I ordered one Wednesday from Xidax. Yes I could have gotten more bang for my buck, but they have a lifetime parts warranty and make it look real nice.
My Xidax build
I5 8600k
Gtx 1060 6GB
16GB 3200mhz ram
500 GB SSD

How much of a difference is the CAS rating going to be in effective speed?
I'm looking at a G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3000 CAS 16 and a Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3000 CAS 15. About a $20 difference.
I website I saw said that a 3200 CAS 16 is about the speed of a 3000 CAS 14.

Yikes. That's like a $1000 build at most.
