What kind of cooling do I need? Those HSF look humongous. Would a AIO liquid cooler be enough? I'm looking to spend about 60-70 on all cooling components.
Do I need any other fans other than the CPU cooler? Top, front, back? I'm so confused.
Would this work? LINK It's $40.

I like AIOs because they look cleaner IMO. You should be able to find a h100i gtx or v2 on r/hardwareswap in your budget. I think Newegg puts their refurb units on sale pretty often for $55 (how I got one of mine). Check neweggs eBay
Usually your cases fans will suffice

Should I get a 144hz or 240hz monitor? It'll probably be a TN and non G-Sync. I only have a 75hz now that I used on console.
This Alienware is 240hz and only $250.

240hz for sure if you can afford it. I just have 3 Asus vg248qe that are 144hz
Pretty fricking useless since PUBGs frames have gone to shite

You want to stay at 1080 or go 1440?

He bought a 1080, so I assume he's going 1440.

Because framerates>resolution

But why?
I want High FPS for fast twitch games. 4K at 60fps if I even get that with a 1080 would be useless to me to get a PC. I could just get a Xbox One X.

To some people. His game type says he's one of those people.

I've thought about the 1440p and 144hz though. I'm super undecided

That's what I'm leaning towards. 144hz is plenty enough for what I play.

Wife wants curved and won't go with a dual monitor because I told her that a monitor has to be flat in front of me and the other one would be off to the side at an angle. Well she ain't having that. I can probably get away with a flat like the Alienware but I'm sure it will be tough.
So, what are y'all thoughts on something like a 27" 1800R curve 144hz?
I'm going to shoot for the 240hz above though.

bought the Alienware for 299 from Newegg and going to price match Best Buy for 250. Not bad for 240Hz.
Gonna sell my Asus 24" 75hz because it won't be able to be "symmetric" when I set it up.
