I thought I was going to get windows on there when I got home because I downloaded it on my flash drive but it had to be a FAT32 format for my MOBO and the OS is greater than 4GB so I had to reformat it to another format to get it on there. I'm running the WIndows media installer now though to create a working flash boot.

Congrats, it's satisfying putting it all together yourself. Some at least you didn't do anything stupid like throw away needed cables or not plug in your cables properly....

BRO! Clutch. I can get that code too. I got my card on the 18th and the deadline is the 16th.

What card are you going to get?

Got the 1070ti.
Now I need to return the PSU i just bought to BH, and buy Windows.
Cooler, Ram, SSD, and Case are all that's left. Have an Amazon $50 card that'll take most off of the Noctua D15S. Will order that today.

Ram, SSD, and Case
RAM was best at Newegg. Mine was pretty cheap at 155 for G.SKill 3200Mhz CAS 16
SSD was best at Newegg for the NVME SSD I got. 256GB for 85 Intel 760P. For standard SATA SSD, I found PNY to be the most cost efficient with best performance.
Case was easy. Newegg Meshify C for 75. Best case under 100 from my research regarding cooling.

I bet if you start a thread or ask someone, you could find a free key. I've seen some mention in the tech board. I got a free one from my school.

Thanks for the info.
Let me know if that promo does in fact work for you. I've got a buddy who bought his bundle the same day you did.

OC my 1080 to +150 and +450. It definitely can go higher but I want a super stable system. I think I tested it at +200 and +600 and it held for a long time.
Almost forgot to turn on the XMP settings for the RAM. It was still at 2133.
CPU OC is next.

It was just last year I was doing this, so much fun and so much frustration!

Tell me about it. I'll get something working for a solid 5 minutes then it will crash.

CPU OC is the most annoying part of the OCing process. Not as seamless as GPU OCing

I did the auto OC on the bios to 4.8 and it holds good and I got 30fps on fortnite to pretty much max 240 at all times.
I know the auto isn't optimum but I'll deal with that later.

I find my limits and then back it off to mostly stock, less stress on the system and all games run fine, my system is a little more advanced though. I should run stock OC's but don't see the need. The fun is pushing it and seeing where you can go.
