Free PC configuring/building

It's very sad that none of my friends have gaming PCs or play any games, and I'm forever alone on steam most of the time. I've noticed many of you have mentioned at some point that they want to buy a gaming PC, or perhaps build one but are concerned about the process and technical knowledge needed. So, I'm running a "special." For those of you who want to build a PC but feel intimidated by the process of selecting the right parts or putting the thing together, I'll do it for you, for free.
Tell me your budget and what you want your computer to be able to handle, then I'll probably tell you to increase your budget, then you'll order the parts, you'll bring them to me, and we'll build the thing and install some of my special freely acquired software. Then you'll buy some games and become part of the master race, and add me on Steam.
Act now while my energy lasts.

Master Race expanding the brand.
Nothing wrong with that.

Sure thing, just wire the money and procure a secure facility, and I'll get started.

I don't see the point in this. People already get the services you mentioned for free from others on this board.
Not to be a dick because your intentions may be genuine but this almost seems like an attempt to get future business in a referral type deal? If not then I apologize.
Join the TD.com Steam group and add all of us through there? I play with plenty of people from the baord.

Really, I'm just bored on the weekends most of the time -- and I'm talking more about actually physically building the thing. The gaming thing is more of a joke (though partially true), and I just have an addiction to building PCs and a wife who's not too keen on me needlessly spending money on parts.
As for future business... not my intention at all. My "business" is a hobby and has never been my dayjob. New builds these days are from repeat customers, and everything else is from repairs. I'm no longer technically in business and lately 90% of what I do is more of a brother-in-law deal. I don't even have a dedicated workbench and supply of parts/cables (had to turn it into a baby room in 2011).

If your'e serious I'd actually contemplate taking you up on this. I'm currently purchasing parts for my younger brothers build and it's been about 9 yrs since my last build. That earlier thread about nothing showing up on his monitor and being stuck worries me. Are you in the Baton Rouge - Lafayette area?

Central, north of Baton Rouge

You weren't BSing when you said you were a pessimist
Even if he is trying to build his rep thru referrals with this offer, what's wrong with that?

As I posted in my thread, I'll take you up on your offer if you are still up for it.

I am not on most things but I just don't trust people and their intentions often. Seen too much shite in my line of work and with greedy assholes in my family.

Nothing at all but just come out and say so if that's the case. I have no problem with that.
Anything beyond that is between him and Chicken on using the site to advertise his services.

Yep, just send me an email hellotharrdude at yahoo (my spam box. I'll give you my real email through that).
Not out to take away business from anyone who does this for a living -- it's just a hobby for me. I have a little under 10 years of experience in a non-professional (i.e. personal/hobby/side business) workspace.
