I love the last of us but people hyping it up make me want to hate it so bad. I also read ign often and I read their reviews but I could care less what number they give a game.

Correct. Amazon is the largest online retailer for games, but it's only 4th or 5th when counting WalMart, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.

And the point you are making is fricktarded. In 3 years neither will be worth the sticker, but I'd wager the PS4 loses value slower due to the tighter price point.
And I predict the PS4 wins the 1st Holiday season on price point alone. . .but XB1 wins overall over the next 4-5 years,

"Hardcore" (whatever that means) gamers might choose based on IP, but a growing number of people won't be choosing that way. As more and more casual gamers and people looking for an entertainment hub buy, they will look less and less at the IP's and more at what else the console can do.
Just look at how many chose the PS3 over the 360 because of Blu-Ray.
