Only the Flint Knock or Boom Bow challenge seems like it might be a pain. What else to you think would be hard?
After I started to focus on completing the challenges they are not as difficult as I thought when I first looked at them.
The Boom Bow was pretty easy. I get most of my challenges out of the way in Team Rumble. All I have left is to hit the 5 highest elevation spots and land at the rabbit, llama, and pig..

What are ya'lls usernames? I've been moving and haven't been playing at all. Every now and then when I do get on I don't see that any of my other TD friends are playing.
I'm on XBOX.

What are the most kills you ever made in a solo?
For me it's 3. I started playing in the middle of season 7. I have two solo wins in season 7 and 0 in season 8.

My highest solo kill win was 9. Can't seem to crack 10 :(. I haven't played a ton of Solos in season 8, but I have a ton of 2nds. Great job getting those wins in your first season! Keep it up. Solos is about rotating smart, and picking the right fights and disengaging if you have to.

Sabi and Duke, add me. I'm incredibly mediocre but I enjoy playing squads. I'll be on tonight for sure.

Gotta land in a hot spot and learn rotations and not be afraid of getting into a battle even if it looks like a losing battle.
Haven't broken 20 yet but have gotten a 19. Plenty of 15+ but highest win was 14. Should have slowed down a little on those higher kills at the end.
Highest Rumble was 37.
Been landing Tilted or the hot drop every solo game and it has helped a bunch. It really helps the mental part of the game as you feel confident after leaving tilted.

Do you recommend Tilted or hot drops for players that aren't that good? Or more of a medium hot area.

Retail, Pleasant, and Salty are always good medium hot areas, or you can just drop POI's right at the beginning of the bus route that aren't Tilted.
I've cleared Retail a few times, and come out with 5-6 kills.

I'll do the other two but I can't stand Pleasant. Here's how it goes for me:
Land on a house, loot it, get a grey pistol, bandages and a scoped AR. Then the guy in the house next to me one pumps me with a purple pump. Retail I find much easier to escape a fight if I get bad loot.

Felt like this happened to me every game a couple weeks ago when landing Pleasant.

I never land Pleasant or Loot Lake. Chests are too spread out at Loot Lake. My favorite spot for a duo or squad right now is Sunny. Just enough loot, outposts nearby with driftboards and ballers, vents, etc.

So what's the deal with this ruin thing?
Posted on 4/5/19 at 1:35 pm to txpurpleandgold
Loot Lake is a dumb place to land bc you’re exposed in the open. For some reason the past 6 squads I’ve been on want to land there and they die almost immediately from long range guns.
I go to Snobby Shores, Haunted Hills, and Lucky Landing. Lots of stuff and you’re not exposed.

Yeah everyone wants to go there because there's lots of loot but it's spread out, exposed, and not much mats. Add me and if we squad up I can 100% guarantee we're not landing there.
ETA: my favorite spot for solos or duos is Racetrack. Not enough loot for a squad though.

Here is my recipe if I were starting late in Fortnite.
Look up some editing courses on Youtube. Candooks multi level is a good starter. 3109-2373-6946
Do that until you get better at editing. Use it before gaming and warm up.
Look up efficient means to double ramp into a 180 turn, 90s, side jump (going up ramp and jumping to the side of a floor above), ramp wall floor rush, double ramp rush with walls, and how to use cones efficiently. Practice those in creative until you get at least an understanding of how to do them.
Use Rumble for target practice and using the above techniques. Get into the action and DO NOT snipe, use rockets, or hide in trees. They will not get you better. Those people will never be good at the game.
Once you have done those two, drop in either Tilted or the closest Big POI and work on SOMETHING from your creative mode stuff. One game practice the crap out of shooting then placing a wall or ramp immediately to block. It's okay to get hit. Just implement it. Next game try doing 90s on a person that you could kill without doing them.
Tilted will work your ability for situational awareness without building as most of the time you'll just use a few walls and ramps to get you places. It will work on knowing a persons elevation and what they intend on doing.
Places like Retail and Pleasant are good for 3rd partying and build battles.
Landing in a safe spot will get your mind in a "weak" position and then you'll have to conjure up a stronger mind in a large POI or a hard battle. It's hard to do this.
Don't second guess yourself. If you die you die but commit to what you are doing.

Instead of landing on a house. Land at the bottom. The people on the roofs are hoping for a gun spawn. You'll already have the advantage of not having to pick axe the roof and can gain instant access to floor loot where shotguns will be.
Also, if you see a shotgun or good gun outside of a house, land at it instead of the house and just run into the house.

Yeah I don't literally land on a house but I get what you mean. Good advice above about working on one thing as far as building. I never thought about it that way. Usually I'll see a guy running in the open and think "I can just shoot him" and then I hit him twice, he builds up and has the high ground. If I see him and say "let me build up whether I need to or not" that's probably the best approach.
