I was in the top 4 the other day with a great load out and got thrown off a mountain by a glitch on a zipline. Pretty cool.

Yeah, they need to do something about them... They're pretty awful atm, I love the idea and mobility of them, but poor execution

The sword is broken. Watching the Winter Royale and dude just waits till final circle, and starts killing everyone. Epic needs to take this shite out of the game or make it a LTM.

So what's the best way to win a solo right now? Get a plane and fly around shooting/breaking everything? Try to get the Infinity Blade? Just play normal? With all these additions I'm not sure what the best strategy is.

Ever heard Ghost Aydan or NickMercs winning one of these types of competitions? Nope. They have adjusted their peen first attitudes and getting better late game but still won't win until they get into the right mindset. Nick has gears of war comp training but I'm sure he got into bad habits pub stomping people. Totally different mindset when everyone around you are equal or better than you.
1v1's at high level take a long time and the chance of getting 3rd partied is much greater. Pros avoid this by rotating smart with time on the clock to get positioning. Kills come later or only when they must. Storm pushing is stupid and the person doing it doesn't care about late game. That's why you see most people don't engage with each other until the end.

Win is to gather a few mats, get a decent loadout and grab a plane till the top 5 or until you can't fly anymore and fight the last few people.
You will not get better though.

Okay I'm Bigdaddy-4life on PS4 but we are epic friends. Fair warning, I'm not very good. But I always give my better teammates the good loot and I'll provide cover fire or whatever is needed.

Yeah, nobody wants to play aggressive because there is a lot of money on the line, everyone is really good, and they get points for finishing in the top 10. They also turtle/tunnel and do a bunch of other crazy shite that wouldn't make sense in a normal game.
