I guess that Shroud, DrDisrepect, Lirk, Summit1g and more have taken to playing it often is because it is on console?
Summit has gotten burnt out of PUBG. He's mentioned that 100000 times. He likes the change of pace and relaxingness of fornite, plus he's already one of the best at it.
DrDis HATES Fortnite. He barely even finished a game his last stream because he doesn't enjoy it.
I watch shroud's stream all the time. He rarely ever plays it. He play's PUBG 95%, Rust 4%, and then maybe gets a whole 1% of fortnite.
I don't watch Lirik, so no idea about him.
Anyway, Fortnite's release is largely popular among streamers because they're all so burnt out and tired of playing PUBG, but PUBG is still far superior viewer wise on twitch even with a bunch of the other big name streamers moving to fortnite.
Once PUBG is released on XBONE people will push fortnite to the side

Is PUBG out on consoe yet? No.
You'll still see a huge number of Fortnite players move over to PUBG
The basis is similar but the gameplay is quite different.
That, and there is a huge PC base for Fortnite, and PC gamers have had access to PUBG for a while now. Fortnite, in all honesty, is less buggy and better optimized, but the big thing is that one is geared more towards realism and the other is not.
Also, one is F2P and the other has a cost.

Hasn't happened on PC, and so far most reports show that PUBG is having significant issues porting over to console due to hardware requirements. 30 fps locks, for example, appear to be occurring.

One has been out since March and the other came out very recently. You'll see the same switch on Xbox, just swapped

I think a lot of people on Xbox will switch to pubg then switch back. I just don't think it's gonna be the same game with a lack of kb&m

Okay? Once again explain to me how Fortnite is only popular because it is on console?

Yea they don't play it often, just were all recently. Was just messing with the pubg people.

I just don't see this happening. No idea how any rational person can come to this conclusion. Have you seen the numbers for Fortnite? Xbox is maybe 20% of those.

The only reason most PC players have switched to fortnite is because they're burnt of PUBG. I've put 500 hours into PUBG since April, and I'm on the low end of the spectrum.
PUBG still has incredible player and viewer numbers (I've never seen fortnite over PUBG on twitch for viewers).

I'm really intrigued to see how this works on controller. Even though I already have it on PC, I may get it on Xbone when it comes out just for shits

Now it is fatigue, before it was console. I can't keep up.
People get tired of games. It happens, not specific to PUBG.
The notion of the game going away when PUBG goes to the xbox is what we are addressing here.

The big streamers get sponsored to play certain games. JoshOG played just after Fortnite MP released and said "it's not a sponsored stream.

Fortnite is pretty easy to use with a controller. I play cross plat with a PC friend and can hold my own with a controller. I have no faith that I could do that on PUBG with the inventory and looting system

Is this worth the money on PS4? I keep seeing footage pop up and it looks really fun...

Game sucks, too many players with aim bot, constant lag, team killing,

Haven't encountered a single aim bot yet.
Lag isn't an issue except in the spawn area, so irrelevant
I've encountered three team killers. They're pretty rare.

Man, I just downloaded it and I'm so bad trying to do solos. The second I'm having to switch between building/engaging enemies is when it falls apart for me. Game seems like a lot of fun though. I really just need some people to run with to carry me a little bit while I learn the ropes
