Fortnite and Depth

I've seen these two games on some twitch videos, and was wondering if anyone has played them.
I downloaded Fortnite yesterday; the F2P portion is PVP (the co-op and single player modes require a purchase). It was fun, though it reminded me how much Overwatch has ill prepared me for weapon spread and long range maps. I'll have to get back into the swing of it.
Depth looks pretty interesting - a team of 4 divers is up against a team of 2 sharks (PVP). Both teams have 30 spawns, divers collect loot to buy gear while the sharks get evolution points from kills. Divers win by killing all the sharks or surviving until the end of the round; sharks have to kill the divers, from what I've seen. Has anyone tried either of these?

I'm thinking about getting PUBG - a friend is an avid player, so I might try to get a group with him. Like Fortnite, though, there's lots of distance shooting. I'll need to get back into practice.
Fortnite has building and a non-PVP mode that PUBG lacks, so I'm not sure I'd lump them together 100%.

What's different with pubg?
I played fortnite last night with a buddy. We joined up as a squad. Pretty fun.
I like the graphics. Fast load times. Quick game play.
I think more modes unlock coming later this year or 2018

I honestly think I like the fortnite style more. I've never played pubg but the inventory seems way more complicated and it seems really slow. Give me fast and simple all day

i played H1Z1 King of the Kill - never played PUBG
this compared to H1Z1 seems faster paced, cartoony, and arcade style (that was a good comparison someone used earlier)
