Ever about 12 was great minus a bit of a lackluster plot. The size of the areas, gambit, and the best leveling class system in the license board.

Amazing the difference a dropped “I” can make
I meant to say XIII had great combat. Also enjoyed the skill progression. Horrible story and characters. And so linear. But combat was fun.

Dont get me wrong. The combat and soundtrack make the game for me. The pacing of combat was just soo smooth, so so smooth.

Main character is named Clive. Lots of talk building this up as it's not super far off into the future. We'll see.

Yeah that’s what I have been hearing as well. Been in dev for possibly a year or two already. Not surprising considering it Yoshi-P...who takes offense to the 2030 release memes. The guy get shite done. Simple as that.

So after reading the whole background of the characters and settings on the new website then rewatching the trailer it makes alot more sense. It looks like clives little brother joshua is the Dominant for the Eikon phoenix, which according to the website it was thought the Clive would be its dominant.
However, Clive can still use some of its fire power and has sworn his sword to protect his little brother. Assassins from another state come to kill joshua but the phoenix is unleashed protecting him, however whoever the Dominant for the Eikon Ifrit is is also there to kill Joshua and Ifrit and Phoenix have an epic throw down in which joshua/pheonix must lose because on the site it says clives world is torn apart by ifrit and he swears revenge. Joshua must be either killed or badly injured.
There is obviously going to be a big time jump after this event and in the trailer Clive says "the crystals have ruled us for long enough" and in the beginning of the trailer you see him with a group thats trying to kill the dominant of Shiva. So the question is: is his revenge geared solely towards ifrit and its dominant? Does he swear to kill all Eikons? Or is he seeking out an Eikon to posess himself to have more power? Or maybe hes just out to get the state that sent the assassins
Its clear in the beginning of the trailer Shiva and Titan are going at it and it even says on the site that The Dhalmekian Republic are the ones with the Titan Dominant. I say that to say i think we're in for some kick arse Eikon battles/boss fights
Alot to speculate on but after reading through the site and watching the trailer again for better understanding im way more pumped

Think I’m on a similar plot line theory as yourself. Can find anything you said that I disagree with. Guess we will just to please look forward to the next update. More gameplay would be nice. Maybe a sneak peak at some of the world as well.
