The house/trance tracks are pretty stellar. Digging this one here once you obtain Aerith and Tifa at the dons.

They tease you so much with the jukebox music. There are so many tracks to look forward to in part 2:
-Presidential March
-Costa del Sol
-Cosmo Canyon
-Gold Saucer (please have Yuffie annoy the shite out of everyone "Team 4 Star" style)
-Cait Sith theme (pronounced "Ket Shee")
-Descendant of Shinobi (Yuffie's Theme)
-Wutai
-Endless Nightmare (Vincent's Theme)
-Highwind ("Cid's Theme")
-"On that day, 5 years ago"
-"Fiddle de Chocobo", "Electric de Chocobo" and the GOAT "Hip Hop de Chocobo"
and more

There are three music tracks that, when they start, you think, "Oh shite, it just got real."
-The OG Jenova Theme during the Jenova Dreamweaver fight
-When "Motorcycle Chase" starts playing
-The OG One Winged Angel part of the final boss

The jukebox is a nice touch to give you glimpses into the future and play some classic tunes.

I really liked the dubsteppy wall market remix and the trancey music in the arena mission.

*****SPOILERS*****
Just got to Marlene at Aerith's house
So, that's chapters 10-12. Definitely slower and not as fun as the rest of the game but I still wasn't just waiting for it to end or anything. It wasn't bad, just slow. Would've been better with some tougher enemies in the sewers.
I struggled a bit getting up the pillar as Cloud, those helicopter soldiers were lighting me up. Struggled more with that than with Reno & Rude, who were stupid easy. I made Barrett my tank, kept up guard, lifesaver, steelskin, and Regen. Swapped out for some damage once Reno would get tired. Otherwise it was once again a defensive fight to test your patience, which can get boring.
Story-wise it was good to show Aerith and Tifa bonding, and show Aerith's special abilities as an Ancient, and show Aerith's personality with the children and self sacrifice of going with the Turks to save Marlene.

They showed glimpses of Tifa's reluctance to question Cloud's recollection of events 5 years ago.
What I liked was, over the course of this game, you gradually saw Barret softening up to Cloud. (Corel will be a great test of John Eric Bentley's acting ability)
What I liked was that they hinted at the Barret/Red dynamic from Machinabridged.

Just got done with the train graveyard. Not sure I really understand the complaints from 10-12.
Guess because the game starts out so strong you are bound to have some down time before the second half picks back up. Even then it was quite enjoyable and had plenty of content for me. Really enjoy what they have done so far.
Had some really good character development. Really making hard not to favor Aerith at this point..gatta make sure it’s painful again I guess.

That's Cait Sith, a character that comes later in the original game.

Spoiler: Cait Sith (pronounced "Kett Shee") is an automaton controlled by Reeve Tuesti who serves as his eyes and ears outside the Shinra building (remember that Reeve basically can't speak his mind outside his own office and is almost a prisoner)
He becomes a playable character when the group goes to the Gold Saucer later.

Finally got that damn pull up trophy. Now off to Chapter 15.

Chapter 15 was my least favorite thus far in regards to design. Lots of fighting though which was fun, just wasn’t a huge fan of the level design.

Well, just beat the game earlier. I enjoyed it kind've in the same way I enjoyed 15. Doing the sidequests to get OP stuff and learn more about Midgar. The battle system is a cool concept but prob leaves a little bit to be desired. Still fun as hell tho, especially customization with Materias and the different weapon abilities.
I can't wait to see how they portray the rest of the world of 7, although I am curious as hell if they will do it in one part or two. Hoping it's the former but we shall see. Also wondering how they will handle the story going forward, as the arbiters of fate seem to make somewhat of a difference with the narrative.
Oh, and they nailed tf out of the music. I love the original soundtrack to death, but they blew my expectations away here. And as another poster alluded to, the jukebox gives us a lot of different OST to look forward to in the areas outside of Midgar. Can't wait until part 2.

I just beat it as well. On second playthrough now to get platinum trophy.
SPOILERS:
Thought overall the game was beautiful. I liked the changes. Still leaves every possibility open.
The buildup throughout the Shinra building infiltration was superb.
Literally the only game over screen I saw on that first playthrough was during the motorcycle escape when the boss fight happened on the highway. frick that thing. It was easy on the second go-around because I had figured out what to do but 5he mechanics of vehicular combat were frustrating.
The Sephiroth battle was fun but I expected more challenge. I struggled more with the Whisper Harbinger fight, by far.
Hints of two alternate realities playing out simultaneously was fascinating. Wedge is dead? Boggs is alive? Some "WTF" questions remain unanswered but I'm sure they'll play out well.
Wish Red XIII would have been playable in this installment. He was immediately likeable and his voice acting and situational helpfulness was very well done.
Only complaint is that I want more postgame content. SE said there'd be tons of it but I don't see it. Only a couple things left to do to get the platinum trophy. After that and reaching level 50, it's going to be a long wait until the next release.

It took me 40 hours to beat. That's doing all the side missions but ignoring the arenas/VR for the most part. Parts of it did feel padded, but it's amazing how they stretched a 3-5 hour segment of a larger game into a full fledged 30-40 hour title and it not be a complete disaster.
I think the chapters were you just go from point A to B where nothing happens relevant to the story or character development like the collapsed expressway were the worst.
Chapter 17 was in my opinion by far the worst chapter in the entire game.
Chapter 18 was just the final boss battles.
I'm indifferent about the ending. It's incredibly ballsy, and I can see how people with a real emotional attachment to the original are pissed off.
I think though that given that OG FF7 is available on every platform under the sun, SE wants it to continue to be as relevant as a port of a 20 year old Playstation game can be so that they can continue to sell it.
This new series sort of feels like a pseudo sequel to the original game. Yes, you can play without having played through the original, but it's made for people who have played through the original who can appreciate all the call backs while at the same time be invested on where SE takes the story from here because really, they can take it just about anywhere.
What you have to be concerned with though is how modern SE has proven themselves to be completely incapable of telling a coherent story dating back to FF 13 ten years ago, not that FF7's original story was all that coherent to begin with when you remove all the spinoff content.
