I didn't have any trouble with that fight. Just have all 4 elements equipped.

I remembered fighting a hell house in the original but it's been 21 years since I've played that, so my memory of strategy was pretty foggy.
I beat it without ever having to Phoenix down, but I had to heal a lot because those damn exploding chairs sucked. Called on Ifrit when it had just shifted to red windows, knowing it would shift away soon. Worked out nicely, as Ifrit assistance expired just as HH had cycled through and was shifting to fire element again.

I want to say I found 5. I wouldn't stress about it. I did 3 in the one that doesn't do anything to change the fight. It is pretty easy.

I figured. Wasn’t stressing too much about it but I like to get all the things. Was a cool dynamic to the fight.
I’m really digging the Materia system. Wasn’t the biggest fan in OG. I feel like it’s a bit different but I could be way off. Also really like the lvling of weapons gives me a little bit of a FF13 throwback when I do so. Hated 13 when it first released. Went back and played it years later and loved it.
I wasn’t at all shocked when I saw the composer for 13 is also working on FF7R. 13 had a beautiful soundtrack(if not the most beautiful) and this one tops it. Just incredible.

The Materia system is exactly the same. Combat is obviously much different. But that system is the same. You still equip materia into weapons and armor, and level up materia with AP.

Okay. I thought so but I was streaming my first play-through of og 7 a couple years ago and was a bit distracted...think I managed to beat the game with just thunder or something like that. Was quite a few materia I hadnt leveld. Was a meme for awhile.

Ahh. Gotcha. Also makes sense on why you wouldn't be as attached to the story. With it being fairly new to you.
