FF9 wasn't made by FF series creator. That was a straight up cash grab by Square studio, that's why you see them in minor roles.

The backgrounds are still meh but the characters look improved quite a bit. The best thing about this is the speed increase to make battles go a hell of a lot faster.

The Name "Final Fantasy" is a cash grab. What the hell connects one Final Fantasy to another other than the name "Final Fantasy".
I'd say its definitely top 3 in the final fantasy series. I personally only think Final Fantasy VI was better.

Sakaguchi didn't direct it, but he wrote the story and oversaw the production. It's his favorite game in the series too.

EPSXE and emulators in general have killed my ability to play normal 60fps games 
Espically really slow games.

Yes, the game that Uematsu sees as his best work and the best critically received game in the series is a cash grab.

Im digging the frick out of the FF7 PS4 version, why can't this be on ps4 as well? IX is one of the best.

FF14 is probably the most fun MMO on the market right now and is a fantastic game. Now the sequels to ff 13 are a money grab. To the person saying all the FF series are different is wrong because the skills/magic, summons, bosses, and monsters reappear throughout the ff series.

I like that it's coming to mobile; I've had fun replaying some of the final fantasy's when I'm bored on my phone.
I saw that FF7 update on my PS4 and almost bought it but then I was like well a remake is coming eventually so maybe I'll just wait.

You're stupid.
The same spells and summons appear in almost any JRPG. Does that make every JRPG identical to FF? FF titles share a broad universe, but that doesn't make them the same. It's a universe. It's a lore. It's familiar while being completely different.
