I'm playing both right now. I dot think you can go wrong with either.
get FC4 if you want FPS open world type fun

Psychedelic drug fueled hunting in the Himalayas vs. cookie-cutter COD (except you can jump higher in this one). Go with FC4.

The new Call of Duty is really good if you like fast paced multiplayer. The exo suit makes it a totally different game than other titles in the series. I gave up on Call of Duty a few years ago and didn't play MW3 or Black Ops 2 but I really like Advanced Warfare.
