I have a 360 and like it...I couldnt give two shits about what any of you have on here unless you want to play me on live. I might get a ps3 if they drop it to 300 bones anytime soon, if not i'll live. I THINK ARGUING OVER VIDEO GAMES IS KIND OF HOMO.

"PS3 is much more powerful" -- In theory, it does have more raw processing power, but in practice it has not shown to be any more powerful than the 360. Some games look and play better on the 360 and some games look and play better on the PS3. Developers will not spend the extra time and money it takes to possibly make a game look better on the PS3, especially since it is such a bitch to program for
On a hardware standpoint its not even close.. The PS3 is far superior.. However the game developers havent taken advantage of all that the PS3 has to offer especially if they sell to both consoles its not worth the added cost. Will they get better Im sure but by then Im sure there will be a new gaming console out from MS. There is no in theory its a fact. Thats like saying a Pentium Duel Core processor is only in theory faster than a Pentium 4 while running an OS that only has the ability to access registers on one processor.

360 owner and far from bitter.
I could go for some MGS4 in my life, but aside from that... you guys have fun. I'm doing just fine with what I've got. Maybe if I'm ever dying for a blu ray player, I might join the team.

If you have one or the other, it makes sense that you'll love what you have and not care about the other.
For those that have both, it seems more often than not, PS3 is the favorite.
I have both, 360 is great fun with live being a lot more fluid than PSN. But, overall, PS3 gets a lot more use from me.

I have a 360, and I'm currently on 360 #3. The $60 warranty from Best Buy saved my opinion of the 360. I had two get the RRoD, and I brought them back and got a brand new one within minutes. That being said, I really like the PS3, more bang for your buck, depending on how you use it. The fact that it has a bluray player almost made be buy it when it came out, just for the fact that any other bluray player was close to $1k.
I'd rather Xbox live, even for the $50/yr, because at frist, it was all we had and thats what I'm used to. Also, I've gotten more than my moneys worth out of that already with the amount of Xbox live that I've played; i'm sure most of you here have gotten yours too.
You hear more about people's Xboxes crapping out, than PS3s for obvious reasons. The Xboxes crap out more often. I do have a buddy whose PD3 stopped reading discs within a week of him getting it. However, that is the ONLY PS3 I've heard having problems from my friends/coworkers.
RAGINTIGER is right tho, its whatever makes you happy, why should anyone give a shite about what anyone else says about the console that they like?

My cousin has the 360 and the PS3. He watches Blu Ray on the PS but rarely games on it. He plays games on the 360 because all of his friends are on XBox Live

And for anyone interested in MGS, Final Fantasy, and a lot of games which look a lot nicer and run smoother on the PS3 would probably tell you, if they had both, that it's the reverse.
Different strokes for different folks, but there's no denying the 360 is of inferior quality

I know a bunch of people who have both (including myself) and they all prefer the 360. Different people like different things but my 360 gets way more use than my PS3 does.

Well if you're goal is online play, PS3's system is janky.
Especially in games like GTA.. don't understand why there can't be a more fluid and easily accessible multiplayer lobby or something

Define inferior quality. If you mean the RROD issue, I'll give you that.
As far as games look nicer and running smoother on the PS3, that is a total crapshoot. Some run/look better on the 360 and some run/look better on the PS3. It's a wash.

I had a 360 and loved it but after it broke three times I just gave up on it.
Great system but it is a piece of crap. Hopefully Microsoft can get it right next time around.
360 fanboys are a hostile group for some reason. Maybe all those years of playing Halo?

Inferior quality would be defined as.
The high likelihood that you'll lose MULTIPLE systems due to hardware failure completely out of control.
If that doesn't sink your battle ship, there are also the minor naggin flaws like the fact that the CD tray is poorly designed so that the SLIGHEST movement to the system while on is likely to dig deep ravines all over your precious new game.
The 360's ultimate positive is Live.
The only problem? How do you log on live when your 360 is constantly in transit to and from M$ repair. Still trying to figure this one out. You can have ultra realistic graphics and seamless free online play... none of it does a thing when your hardware simply doesn't work, lol.

Why on earth would you ever move your system while on ?

I have yet to have this problem.

It's not moving, it's bumping.
When I first got a 360 I barely hit the table it was on while walking by and it put one scratch in the game. Just enough to cause NCAA to freeze every time a game finished and listed your achievements.
Totally understandable a console will jank your games if youre moving it vertical/horizontal while it's running.. but a slight bump? I didn't realize I needed to purchase the museum casing peripheral :(
And if you haven't gotten red rings yet, lucky.

See that is where you are wrong. While the RROD is a big problem, the majority of 360 owners have never had it.
The failure rate is something like 16.4% which is indeed unacceptable, but the FACT is that most 360 owners will never see this issue.
And since I know you will ask me for a link...
