Went from 298 to 303 tonight. Pretty solid jump in 3 hours

I finding myself bored by this already. They need to drop new content sooner. New guns with random perks or something.

Feeling the same. I cannot stand putting in the work to complete milestones only to get the powerful gear to drop the same shite I already have. Same thing with those factions. That was super gay. I swear they are forcing you to hate this game. But I'll play the frick out of it anyway.

I am ONE point from 305. Been that way for going on two weeks.
All I need is a 305 cape, currently have a 304.
Complete trials, all my milestones etc etc.
Gotten 4 chests, 3 helmets, and I don’t know how many arms...that I already have.

Anyone willing to run the nightfall with a couple of 263s tonight? Trying to get raid ready and need some need gear.

They nailed the gameplay in this game, they just fricked up everything else. My drive to play this game is definitely subsiding, however whenever I do play it is a blast. The lack of random gun rolls is really hurting things as there is no longer that itch to strive for the perfect roll of gear.

You’re going to get so butthurt trying to run this week’s nightfall with a couple of 263’s

Still on the fence whether to get this for the PS4 right now and PC later also. Sounds like a lot of you are already getting burnt out on it.

From what I can see, there’s been a pretty good player drop off this week.
I’d say just wait until the first DLC drops to see what Bungie fixes.
At this rate, if they don’t improve the end game, this game will have no players in 3-4 months.

Sounds kinda like deja vu. Thanks man.

Yep, it is amazing how much they seemingly didn't learn from year 1 D1. The DLC will be very crucial.

I think there’s a lot of salt mainly because D1, at the end, was a GREAT game.
You’d think D2 would at least start with many of the SIMPLE things that made D1 great.
Instead they gutted the entire end game, almost all QoL improvements, and simple player choices on game types and story mode.
I mean, WHY?
It was obviously done on purpose so they could “drip” more game content.

Which is why I'm asking for help?
Seriously how do we level up without doing the nightfall/raid etc...?

At 263?
Complete story.
Run normal strikes.
Do flashpoint milestone.
Do crucible milestone.
Join a clan and get clan engrams.
Do blue crown side quests after story mode for higher gear.
Run exotic quests for MIDA.

Year 3 destiny was fricking trash.
Custom pvp games was cool, but pvp wasn't playable in Y3, so what was the point?
It's such a shame that year 3 Destiny will forever be "Destiny", whereas years 1-2 were vastly superior.

I don't think the game is getting boring, but when you put 70-80hrs in to it in the first month you typically run out of stuff to do. I've just been doing the milestones, and then leaving it alone for a few days.

I don't think the game itself is getting boring. The actual game play is still really strong and very fun to play. The issue is I am not driven to get on and play to try and achieve something. There isn't anything left to unlock or some pinnacle weapon roll to get that makes grinding worth it.
Again, depending on how much content they drop in the DLC's, that could all change, but some of the changes they made for D2 are already showing to be overall bad moves for the long term sustainability of the game.

I think Taken King was the peak of Destiny 1. The first year it came out everything you did was a grind. You had to spend hours on planets just mining for resources to upgrade your stuff.
When Taken King came out and they revamped the weapon/armor leveling system that was great. As a dedicated guy from day 1, the only time I wasn't very active was the last expansion which at that point I think D2 was already getting talked about and I didn't want to put much more time into it hearing characters were all resetting.
