It’s a low skill weapon if you want to kill trade. The top players that really know how to work the movement are deadly with it. I still say you’re positioning yourself wrong if they are frustrating you this much.
I’ve mentioned it before, but if you really want a good counter to it, run warlock attunement of fission with ordinance mods and the handheld supernova ability. It’s the ultimate close quarters play. You want to talk about low skill, you barely even have to aim that thing and it’s an automatic 1 hit kill in PVP. Plus ability kills reduce the cooldown so you can be tossing those bad boys every 20-30 seconds if you play it right.

Finally able to play the Blind Well, that was pretty cool. Reminded me of that area on the Dreadnaught where you'd keep summoning different levels of opponents. Got a sweet rocket launcher out of it.

I will agree with that, the range on some of the rolls is insane right now. Just wont agree with Pu’s idea for no more 1 shot kill.
I don’t even run shotguns so I’m pretty divorced from this issue aside from the fact that I don’t like to see Bungie nerf stuff. That’s how we got the shite show that was vanilla.

It was a suggestion. It's the range that is a problem. I can one hit with the auto shotguns from fairly far away.
The ttk is decent right now with good gun skill. I'm a shotgun guy at heart but don't like using them in destiny right now because they are too easy to use. I believe one shots should be designated to the heavy arcetype only. The special ammo should be a minimum of 2 but more if ttk is higher (ex. 2 shot kill shotguns get 4).
With all the shotguns having stupid range and one shot capability, there is no skill Gap in the weapon and no real counter.
I was one shotting with a blue auto shotgun. That shouldn't happen.
No sniper that I'm aware of can one shot without a headshot.
Fusion rifles are hard to use if it's one of the heavy variants.
Those required a skill gap to one shot.
I swear sidearms like the last dance we're nerfed.

Don't know if that one is nerf'd, but I've found better ones. I've got a Translation Theory with ricochet rounds, full auto, and rampage. It absolutely shreds. Range isn't insane with it but its not bad. Been running it with the jade rabbit to work on the catalyst for it, and have had some good success. Has done decent countering shotguns.
I agree though the range on shotguns is insane right now.

Yeah, no shite. I was giving an example of current one shot kill potentials. Only the headshot can one shot. It takes skill to get the one shot and that is my point. It doesn't take any with a shotgun.

Yea the range is the biggest problem. Yes a shotgun from point blank range should be a one shot kill, but the range is bad right now, as bad as it ever was in D1 as far as how far away you can be to still get a kill.

I don't. I think there should be differences in play styles. An auto shotgun is way more forgiving than a slow hard hitter. Why should I pick up the slower one when the faster one does just as good and one shots.
So something like this
Faster ads and fire rate are 2 shot and can be finished off with a melee after the first. 4 shots, larger hit box
Slower ads and fire rate but high impact give good range one shot potential but it rewards focused intent to be successful because if you're reckless, it misses. 2 shots, smaller hot box

Synthoceps are a good pick up if you don't have them/are a titan. They are really good right now. The damage buff when surrounded by enemies is awesome, and they have one of the farthest melee reaches.
I just wish he would start selling the year 2 stuff, at least in the engram. I am 0/5 on exotics(only 2 have been actual engrams). All 5 have been year 1 exotics and all have been ones I already have. Getting really old.

I've thoroughly enjoyed titan. However, that new void Warlock ability is insane right now, especially in PVP.
