So this is an interesting bug that you can farm a decent amount of stuff (Vanguard Tokens, NF Specific Loot, Catalysts) for: LINK

No they kicked because there was something posted in the discord that required a response. All non responders were removed.
Eta: we are implementing a ranking system to manage the main clan. This sytem considers time in discord and time in game with clan members. There are two clans. One for active members and one for inactive members. So if you don't spend time in the discord or play with clan members, you can't expect to be a member of the main clan.

Nah. It will help. But the formula for you is:
500 - Daily and weekly challenges (adventures, story missions, strikes, gambit, crucible, flashpoint)
520 - Nightfall, high score nightfall, Spider bounty, Dreaming City patrols, ascendant challenge, blind well, clan
540 - raid encounters 1-3, dreaming city story missions
560 - raid encounters 4-5
580 - shattered throne
That's the fastest path to 600
