Hold up your shield and let some idiot shoot you for a bit, then crush them and get your super right back when it's over.

I only own the lens. Would love for any of the others to drop for me.

DARCI is solid, but I've had it since pretty early in vanilla when it was bad. Used it briefly while it was my highest power weapon. Black Talon can be fun and I'm glad I got it, but man was seeing a 2nd one a disappointment (was on a 2nd character and a lower level too...).
Lord of Wolves has a chance to drop from the Spider Wanted Bounties, so get to farming. Guy I know that barely plays got his from the first bounty, took me a few resets of doing them on multiple characters to get mine. Having an exotic tied to a specific event/quest be added to the general exotic pool and getting a duplicate is a real kick in the balls. I'm looking forward to eventually getting a random exotic to drop Ace of Spades or the Chaperone...
I really like some of the exotic weapons, but they don't drastically change my play style and I really want to try out some of the new exotic armor, but so far the only exotic armor I've gotten in Forsaken was another set of Dunemarchers.

IMO the Hunter is the weakest class by far. My next one is definitely a Titan.

Yup. Has nowhere near the survivabity options warlocks and titans have available. You basically are forced to run invisibility if you want survivability or you have to run the ugly arse wormhusk. It’s just extremely limiting since the class is tied so heavily to exotics to be good.
Best movement by far, but the class just feels more boring to play.

I have to disagree. My warlock is the squishiest by far of the 3. It requires resilience mods for any real survivability. Especially with none of the y2 sets being resilience based. But there are specific subclasses to offset like devourlock or well.
My hunter is my favorite to play because of the versatility. The exotics synergize really well. And you can go on attack, play defensively, or even run support.

No way. Attunement of hunger is the tankiest option in the game, I wouldn’t have been able to do last week’s ascendant challenge without that subclass. Devour can be active indefinitely if you play it right.
Attunement of grace is super survivable as well especially if you’re team stays in the damn rift.
Hunters have invisibility which is good but it limits subclass options. At least warlocks have the rift in every subclass.

I said there were specific sublasses that enhanced survivability.
You don't even read half the shite I say Just want to tell me I'm wrong
Eta: And as a warlock only player of y1, you don't have to tell me about devour. I ran devour almost exclusively in y1 end game content.

Jeez be more butthurt man. Especially considering I told you this just last page.

So besides those subclasses that are arguably the most survivable in the game even without exotics, they are the squishiest class ??

quote:Imo resilience is more important than recovery. As you hit end game content in y2, just plopping down a healing rift won't keep you alive. So imo the class ability is situational. With barricade and dodge, I can be more resilient which means staying in the fight longer, proc my class ability to start recovery, and get back in quicker. The exotics I use enhance the class and aren't necessary to stay alive. Again, just my opinion based on how I play.

I do hate how armor is locked in to one certain stat. I hate wasting a mod slot on resilience. And yes, rift would be a lot more useful if it activated a bit faster. But still, warlock feels like easy mode to me with either of those subclasses.
Frankly I’m probably just not good enough to run hunter without the invisiblitu crutch. It always blows my mind when I see someone running a solar hunter subclass without wormhusk in high level PVE content and never even come close to dying. It’s like they use the mobility of the class to become tanky.

In other news, Xur is still being a total Jew

quote:Just need to spend more time with it. I have yet to use wormhusk, but I offset it with rampage weapons in kinetic and energy slots. So I get rampage stacks quickly and can maintain them as long as there are adds to feed it. I use marksman dodge to reload instantly. You can also proc reload on melee damage with an exotic. The new solar subclass melee deals tick damage, so it's a psuedo rally barricade or luna rift for hunters. Throw in blade barrage and you can melt.

I feel like the new subclasses are so weak though so far on Hunter. I used shadow strike or whatever it's called on a Titan with his super and didn't get him half way health. Warlocks shite on everything with the electric beam and the nova blasts.
Titan shoulder charge is stupid OP but I can see being balanced eventually.
Shotguns are super dumb ATM everyone runs that low skill level gun in PVP. Nothing competes. I want something like a Last Word to come back.

I'm not even talking about survivability but the new subclasses. They are so boring. Arc is terrible. Void is okay but super health is terrible. Haven't gotten the fire one yet.

Warlock handheld supernova is hands down the most useful pvp ability at the moment. Way more OP than shoulder charge, and is actually the perfect counter to someone shoulder charging.

The solar one is very good.
Hunter survivability is the ability to GTFO. Youll never be able to play tough PvE with your feet glued to the floor trying to bulldoze. You have to play cover and position.

I posted the prime/legendary engram formula on Reddit and it’s currently the top post on DTG.
1. After you reset your prime attunement buff (first prime drop), if you farm your next prime engram (with a stacked attunement) the drops are very predictable (to the point I was calling my drops, even double drops, on a live stream last night to prove the point)
2. It’s always roughly 3 blues to every purple and 5/6 purples to every prime aka 16-17 blues to every prime
3. Drops always happen in order - blues first (usually 3) then purples - then primes
4. It’s about 100 kills for a blue, 300 kills for a purple and 1800 for a prime. That’s a kill LIMIT meaning the closer you get there is a weighted percentage that engram will drop. If you pass the limit the drop is guaranteed on next boss kill
5. ratio: approx 15-5-1 to 18-6-1 (blues, purples, primes)
6. I have an exp based drop test with a medallion I am going to try later to see if it can be sped up.
