I picked it up for $15 and have enjoyed it so far. Just wondering what was your weapon lineup? I'm running with the line gun, pulse rifle, ripper, and force gun. Any recommendations?

I think I only used other guns to try to get the achievements. Other than that...80-85% of the game I just used the regular gun and eventually maxed it out.

Smart. That gun was the shite and the piss.

DS2 was so much better than DS1 that it's laughable. DS1 was so repetitive with those same shitty environments and shitty anti-gravity sections

I loved the isolation of DS1 and I found that DS2 was more of an action game.

This is a true statement, I just feel like it improved on the good things and dropped the bad for the sequel. I liked having Isaac speak as well.

Exactly. Dead Space 1 made you feel completely alone, Dead Space 2 not so much.

I'll admit the first game got really repetitive near the end but the story also picked up and it helped out a little bit.

Both were outstanding games.

Damn you! Where did you get it for that cheap?

I use the ripper as my main weapon. The line gun is great for multiple limbs or when aiming is not really an option. I also like that I can put a booby trap behind me if I feel like something is coming. The pulse rifle is good for shooting the little enemies that only take one shot and come at you in numbers. I can't remember what the force gun does but I figured I'd keep it for bosses. I wasted money on the damn sniper rifle. I'll never use it as far as I know.

Not bad. PC? I've been 100% xbox lately. I'd like to get a new computer but I need to save all my funds for this possible move to the dirty Dell.

I used the other guns for achievements like one poster said.

For the most part I went with the pulse rifle and plama gun. If you play smart you can finish the game with 2 fully upgraded weapons and rig.

The line gun and javelin are fun to play with too.

Yes it was once you started upgrading it. I didn't play on the hardest level. In fact I think it may have only been the second hardest, but I had no troubles making it through the game with it.

I fricking loved the end of 2 so much (except for the fight against Nicole). That javelin gun was so fricking sick. I loved flying out back onto the ship.

Plasma Cutter is essential. I recommend leveling that thing up all the way. It is worth it.

Beyond that, I recommend leveling up kinesis all the way. I always had a spike or xenomorph claw on hand when I entered a room. Its a good way to stab someone to the wall and avoid using ammo.

I never thought to do it. When I would, I'd be like oh yeah! and do it, but it was never an active part of my strategy
