some of the ign dudes have described it as "Fallout with zombies". I'm a huge fallout fan, so this actually increases my excitement level. not good, because I was hoping to pass on this one in order to keep my gaming budget somewhat sustainable. 
dunno if this is good news or bad news for you guys, but this is the only tidbit I've heard about Dead Island.

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to play them all. I figure Skyrim is going to tie me up for awhile. I need to knock that and every other game I want out before Mass Effect 3.

I just want to know why a few people in the topic think this is going to be a bust. Everything it has shown has been good, including gameplay.

IGN gave it an 8. Review said gameplay was awesome but story was lacking. I don't need a good story in a zombie game, so I'm pumped for this game.

I'm pumped. My problem with Dead Rising is the damn clock which makes you rush through the entire game. I mean, I gt it and all, but sometimes I want to stop and whip some Z's.
And all the mission in Dead Rising are the same: Get person to safe room.
I heard Dead Island was going to be like Grand Theft Auto meets Dead Rising. Again, can't wait

I haven't been to a blockbuster, or video store for that matter, since 2005! How to eff BB is a skill that I would be quiet rusty on. Plus I just buy everything and let my nephews have them afterwards. I'd rather save them the money.

I can't wait for this game. Dead Rising would be a fun game if it didn't have that awful clock, theres no fun to it at all.

I alawys thought that they should've gave you an option to turn off the clock if you complete the game. I'm not a fan of being timed all the time.
