I will. Just not sure if I'll go to the basin first. I'm leaning towards it.
And then I'll head through the depths to get to blighttown.

Blighttown is the place to farm for large shards if I remember correctly...but yeah its a PITA the first time through.

I would like to take a moment to express some gratitude to all those who have participated in this thread. It was with your help I stuck it out and pushed through the Undead Parish.
While I still have some tough roads ahead, I certainly feel like I can handle it. I look forward to pushing through the rest with the group in this thread.

I'm going slow.
Asylum
Undead Burg
Undead Parish
Currently in the Depths.
Will probably backtrack and go through Darkroot after Depths.

If you can make it through the first quarter of the game and not quit you're good to go. In my opinion, the difficulty is over-exaggerated. Once you kind of 'get it' or understand the philosophy then the game is only as hard as you make it. I initially quit on the game for a long time before coming back to it, and now the only time I really die is to gravity or when I'm careless.

This, which is why me being ahead of him makes no difference, I've put over 1k+ hour into the souls series... I don't think many could keep up with my pace

P.S: My Dex build on DS2 sucks for PVP, holy shite it sucks

For dex, my favorite pvp setup was duel-wielding a spear and the fume straight sword. Spear for the reach and you can stun lock the shite out of people or catch them mid-roll with a straight sword.

Decided to hit the basin. Got the grass crest shield, 2 large shards to get ug to +8, and hit the bonfire. Wish I had more time to play tonight.

Probably my favorite "level" (for lack of a better term) in any game I've ever played.

Restarted a new DS1 file tonight. Stopped right before Capra. Got lucky with the black knight sword drop, and got it to +2.

beat smelter demon, lud, and zellen last night, I have almost nothing left to do in DS2 now... and I'm kinda angry because I only have like 50% of the trophies unlocked, these achievements are a lot less forgiving than Bloodborne

I really wish they hadn't cut her content in order to save on time, I would have loved to see what story they had planned for her. Her level is so amazing, and well thought out, and the reason why a lot of Souls fans believe we are the bad guy, not a hero

In her situation, we definitely are the bad guys. We gain little from killing her.
Her backstory is sad and she should be saved, not destroyed.
