I turned off the chromatic aberration and motion blur. Game looks much better now. The nonimportant NPCs still look like potato people though.

I think I can wait till I get a ps5. I’ll stick with Valhalla till then.

Hopefully by the time I beat Valhalla, I’ll have a ps5....

My game looks great but for some reason unless you stop and look you really can't see people's faces. When im walking down the street in real life i can definitely see people's faces more than 5 feet from me. It annoys me more than it should. The game feels too dark outdoors even in daytime

Push Square Review in Progress:

Night Sh*tty

quote:

It's abundantly clear that sacrifices had to be made in order to get Cyberpunk 2077 running on PS4 — but that's no excuse. On Sony's base system, the game's performance is woeful, with both a dire framerate and an egregious amount of pop-in. It's a bit better on PS4 Pro, but it's still not good enough. On PS5, via backwards compatibility, it's a night and day difference thanks to a (relatively) smooth 60 frames-per-second, but the game's still plagued by bugs, and, worst of all, a consistent crashing issue that shuts the software down every couple of hours, pretty much without fail. Frankly, it's a disgrace — especially after CD Projekt Red went on record in multiple interviews saying that the console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 would be up to snuff.

quote:

Conclusion

We're still playing Cyberpunk 2077 in order to bring you a finished review, but it's impossible to recommend picking this game up at launch on PS4 or PS4 Pro. On PS5 via backwards compatibility, there's still fun to be had — a glimpse of the game's excellent potential — but even then, it's crippled by bugs and crashing issues. There's something truly special at the core of Cyberpunk 2077, but in its current state, it's simply not good enough. So far, a colossal disappointment.

I’ve only had one crash.

New PS4 patch came out today 1.04, says it addresses a bunch of shite but I'm hoping it eliminates the crashing. The graphically issues aren't really bothering me but it's crashed 4 times in maybe 11 hours of playtime and that's pretty annoying.

Well if this has shown developers one thing, it's release it on PC and only recommend the latest consoles.

Just downloaded It and the 1.04 update on a base PS4. We shall see what the experience is.

Using a base PS4 with a non-HDR 65' TV. Going full basic tonight.

So I'm finally really getting into it, and trying to stealth is just asinine. This whole double press front to dodge thing is idiotic, and I hate that there isn't just a one button kill.

It looks nice, but the game play just reeks of a rushed game with very little input from non-developers.

It's hard to call it rushed when this game has been in some form of development for the last 7 years.

They should've focused more on the next gen hardware.

I can’t disagree with this more.
I’ve been playing on my OG PS4 and while it obviously hasn’t been perfect, I’ve never once said “screw this it’s not even worth it to play.” I’ve still been having a blast. Frankly the game is only going to get better as they patch it and even more so when they release the next gen upgrade.

Same.

I’m having a blast. I’ve been doing everything but main missions so far.

Gonna try to knock out as much of Watson as possible.

Only issue I have is the leveling and perks system.

Not exactly straightforward and seems to be HEAVILY biased towards body.

Yeah I went way more intelligence and Tech figuring that’d be more beneficial.

Someone mentioned the inventory system, I do have to complain about that. Wish it was more organized

Yeah it's item hell for the most part. I had to sotp worrying about it so much. If you try to examine everything you loot to see if it's an upgrade it ruins the flow of the game.

Essentially I just loot everything blindly and every hour or two I set aside some downtime between missions to do housekeeping, and that includes going through my inventory and cleaning out all hte junk (which is 99% of hwat you pick up), turn your trash into cash for the most part.

It's very Diablo'equse in that it the game showers you with items constantly but most of htem are just junk.
